Why a stronger transit system is getting this bus advocate's vote in the St. John's election | CBC News If you've ever tried to get around St. John's without a car, then you'll know why David Brake started the Essential Transit Association. With a municipal election just around the corner, Brake says that how to improve the Metrobus system should be the ballot question for voters.

I am currently looking into other jurisdictions and their bus routes. I am hoping that gathering information about other provinces transit systems will help prove how our public transit system is lacking.

Thanks for taking the opportunity to check out our page. Our founder Lauren originally made an online petition to get attention for the need of better commute efficiency to and from post secondary institutions.

She has decided she would like to make some more noise surrounding this issue. At this current time we are putting our focus on getting an express post secondary route for our major insititutuions in the metro region, however we are committed to working with metrobus riders on how we can advocate for a better public transit system in Newfoundland in general.
