Quick sketchbook painting today that caught some late day sunbeams 😎☀️

I had a great day working at the gallery today!
Added 2 new paintings to my display shelf, made new friends, lost count of how many new customers and conversations we had and did a quick update on my artist wall. My heart is full (and also ready for a nap) 😂

This is the original watercolor I worked on for my July workshop. I added a few background leaves and found the perfect little frame, but it just wasn’t the right color.
After a few layers of paint and a little sanding, I just love how it turned out!
I will be adding this to my display at the gallery tomorrow (unless I change my mind tonight and keep it for myself hahaha)

Some paintings are harder to let go than others. This is one of them for me that has my whole heart 🥰

I seriously needed some painting time tonight after a few days of busy work and technical stuff I had to deal with. And if you’ve known me for a while, technical stuff still makes me crazy and a bit cranky.
A few paintings didn’t really work out but then this one happened, cranky me went away and all is good again! 🥰
