NLHS learners unleash talent, creativity, and knowledge in literary

On January 6, 2025, NLHS school-based English festival of talents began the first day of its English month celebration that aims to enhance learners' skills in the English language, hone their artistic and creative talents, and develop their confidence in using English for effective communication.

Each first day of the week, the English Club Organization conducted a trivia for all grade levels. The first day of celebration was very fruitful, highlighting the inspiring message by Mrs. Kareen May G. Tamagos and Mrs. Janilyn C. Mamasu. They emphasized the different events to be performed on the culmination day and its importance of recognizing and nurturing each individual's unique talents and skills.

The English Festival of Talents 2025 concluded successfully on January 31, 2024. The different events brought together talented young minds from Grades 7 to 10. The culminating activity started in the morning with a quiz bee, composed of four teams. Afterwards the poem writing composition and oratorical writing composition. The afternoon activities were individual and group presentations. It started with a prayer led by Mr. Angelo James Soriano-English Club Vice President followed by a National Anthem conducted by Ms. Griffith Aia Cabalino-an-English Club Grade 10 representative. Then, everyone was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Janilyn C. Mamasu-English Club Coordinator. Finally the presentation of different events.

✓Conventional Speech Choir - Grade 10 Charity & Humility

These different events underscored the importance of having learners' English proficiency and creative thinking a platform to celebrate young talents.

As the program came to an end, it was concluded with an outstanding congratulation and a word of thanks by the school head - Mrs. Shelah Mae L. Candole.

Excellent teachers' SLAC focused on implementing new teaching strategies through the use of WAP and integrating the use of ICT through CANVA applications.

NLHS teaching force spent the day with so much fun, enthusiasts and learning about CANVA as our creative partner. With this app, teachers would be able to adopt new trends in making instructional materials that can catch the learner's attention.

Furthermore, teachers were able to reflect on the practice and connect good relationships with colleagues as we listen and adhere to each information in making a WAP.

Sharing ideas, supporting each other, and empowering learners to be globally competitive individuals.

A productive day indeed! Feeling inspired and ready to implement new strategies in the teaching-learning journey in the education regime.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲!

On January 27, 2025, at New Leon High School, the 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒔 and other 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔, in collaboration with the SGC Elected Co-Chair, Renelou T. Cadamoog, PTA Vice- President Reu C. Camariosa and Kag. Agustin C. Capongha spearheaded the installation of an additional box culvert at the school gate. This initiative aims to 𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 within the school premises. Their dedicated efforts exemplify a commitment to creating a safer and more resilient environment for the school community.

Special thanks to 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 for generously lending equipment that greatly facilitated the completion of this vital project. Your support and collaboration are deeply appreciated.

On December 19, 2024, the SSLG officers and their Adviser, Sir Hermoses C. Capilitan of New Leon High School, organized a meaningful outreach program for the elderly of Brgy. New Leon.
