Strengthening Immunisation Outreach in Assam
We are happy to share that an operational planning meeting was held on 17 December 2025 with the Targeting Zero Dose Immunisation Challenges of Assam (TICA) Project Team to advance the launch of a 10-seater call centre under the TICA initiative.
The call center will act as a key demand-generation and follow-up mechanism, using filtered beneficiary data from the UWIN portal, SARATHI 104 infrastructure, and TICA’s Immunisation strategy to conduct structured awareness and follow-up calls with caregivers.
This initiative is expected to support timely outreach, improve tracking, and strengthen coverage of zero-dose and under-vaccinated children across multiple TICA intervention districts of Assam.

Strengthening Digital Health Adoption in the Private Sector
We recently conducted a Continuous Medical Education (CME) session in Mangaldoi, Darrang district of Assam, on 19 December to strengthen the adoption of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) among private healthcare providers.
The session focused on addressing key gaps in digital health implementation, including ABHA creation, Scan & Share, and adoption of interoperable systems such as HMS and EHR.
The engagement also included a discussion on NCD management at the primary healthcare level and approaches to strengthen community awareness through effective IEC, reaching over 35 participants, including 20 private doctors, and contributing to improved private-sector digital health readiness in Darrang.

Healthcare reaching where it matters most.
Check out the glimpses from the Mega Health Camps organised in collaboration with the Health Department and NHM Assam across multiple blocks of Kamrup district, Assam.
The camps focused on improving access to essential healthcare services in rural and underserved communities, with the Xushrukha team supporting beneficiaries on-ground, facilitating medical consultations, and enabling ABHA ID creation through the Utprerona mobile application to build awareness around digital health services.
Through this effort, around 2,800 beneficiaries received screenings, consultations, referrals, and basic treatments, while nearly 1,500 children were screened during the ongoing camps, bringing timely care and continuity of health records closer to the community.

Meet our changemaker, Pooja Singhad, a Gandhi Fellow from Batch 18, working to strengthen health systems on the ground. During her visit to Sub Divisional Hospital Benipur, she noticed gaps in documentation and medicine supply records affecting service readiness.
Pooja conducted the first detailed First Referral Unit assessment at the facility, reviewing registers and digital reporting practices. She identified the need for better record maintenance and regular data entry on the Bhavya Portal.
By engaging with hospital staff, she recommended focused training and system improvements to strengthen data accuracy and accountability. Her work is now supporting healthcare teams and improving service readiness for patients visiting the hospital every month.
