Silas' Story: Surgery for Epilepsy | Neuroscience Institute
Earlier this year, we shared the inspiring story of Silas, a young man who received a life-changing epilepsy diagnosis on his 19th birthday. But thanks to the compassionate care of AHN Drs. Timothy Quezada and Alex Whiting, Silas and his family now have a renewed sense of hope following a successful brain surgery last fall.

Silas’ Story: Diagnosing Epilepsy | Neuroscience Institute
On Silas’ 19th birthday, he was diagnosed with epilepsy; a brain disorder marked by recurring and unprovoked seizures. After traditional treatment options didn’t help control his seizures, Drs. Timothy Quezada and Alex Whiting worked with Silas to review different treatment options to hopefully cure his epilepsy.
Today, Silas is seizure free after a successful surgery last fall and excited to enjoy the open road when he gets his license.
