Our 3pm service tomorrow is Evensong. Don't forget to put your clocks back, or you'll get there as we are all leaving 😄
Edited*
Or something like that.
Personally, I wish they'd leave the clocks alone...
Anyway....
Do something with your clocks, and turn up at the appropriate time. Whenever that is....🙄
3 pm service tomorrow as usual.
This week it actually will be Communion...
The two weeks "away fixtures" threw me last week, and I thought it was a first Sunday.
Back to normal this week, folks. 3pm BCP Communion up at Ashworth. Look forward to seeing you all !
Just a reminder. There is no service at St James , Ashworth this Sunday.
Joan and Joyce are being confirmed at St Paul's, Norden at 2 pm, and we are all going there .
If you do go up to Ashworth, you'll be on your own, and according to my weather app, there's a 50% chance of rain.
It will , however, be dry inside St Paul's at 2pm, so that's a much better bet. Plus you get to see a Bishop. Did you know their hats fold flat and they can sit on them? Worth going just to see that...
Right...
This Sunday is the joint benefice service at St Michael's, 10.30 am.
Do not come up to Ashworth at 3pm, because you'll be on your own. 😄
Also, while we are on the subject, the following Sunday (6th October) the Bishop is coming to St Paul's to confirm candidates at 2pm. Two of our congregation are being confirmed (Joyce and Joan) so we will all be there to support them, instead of at St James' . Plus ,our organist is playing for the confirmation service and, good as he is, he has yet to master the art of being in two places at once.
So to recap, that's No Service at Ashworth for the next two Sundays. Away fixtures booked for 29th September, St Michael's 10.30am, and 6th October at St Paul's, 2pm.
Harvest pictures, for those who didn't make it 🙂
Eddie is ready. Come and help us celebrate the harvest at 3pm today.
Harvest Feastival today at 3pm. Harvest tea afterwards in the church hall. Look forward to seeing you all there.
Excuse the lack of a Harvest photo - I forgot to take my phone when we did the decorations yesterday....🤦♀️
As we have already said, it is our Harvest Festival on Sunday at 3pm.
If you are bringing Harvest gifts on the day, please could we ask for donations for the food bank, rather than fruit or veg? Things like longlife milk, tinned meat, fish , veg or fruits, pasta and rice?
Thank you .
We have quite a few gaps in our list of donors for flowers in church. We like to have church looking nice, with fresh flowers as much as we can. If you would like to give a donation towards this, it would be much appreciated. Just send us a message, if you are able to help.
Thank you!
Our service tomorrow at 3pm is BCP Holy Communion. Look forward to seeing you all!
