New Zealand’s South Island bursts into colour about 4-5 weeks at the end of each year.

You’ll find fields of purple, pink, blue and yellow lupins sprout up along lake sides and in riverbeds in Mackenzie Country, making the already-stunning views even more incredible.

Key places to find them:

2. Lake Tekapo
3. Ahuriri River

Im forever finding my style. Just like the seasons, I change my temperature, my colour palettes and my saturation/de-saturation levels. One day I’ll find my groove and mood.

But one thing doesn’t change, and that’s how photography makes me feel!

Soo I caught COVID…

I’ve been bed ridden for the last few days and been running a fever! Thankyou all to everyone who has offered help and has helped too, from groceries to walking our doggo and general checking in. We’ll survive 🤣 but now we are stuck at home and where the skies are painted with beautiful colours I’m kinda bummed I can’t go chase them with the camera.

Instead I’ll just edit some older pics!
This shot was taken with the 70-200 f4 G OSS - so not even the the 2.8 GM which I currently have to play with.

Anyway to more moons once I am out and recovered.

Thinking back!

I wish I found photography when I was a lot younger. Yes it’s true, you’re never too old to start - but even a few years would have made a difference.

I’m grateful though…. Because of photography, I have experienced amazing things, met incredible friends and have found an outlet which calms my soul. There’s much more for me experience, I feel like I’ve just opened the book and there’s a whole story ahead of me!
Ok rant over 😂

But seriously, photography … just like my fiancé I’m glad I found you!

Did you know the filling in Kit Kats is made from damaged Kit Kats?

The folks at the Kit Kat factory sure know how to recycle! Whenever a Kit Kat bar is somehow made imperfect during production like air bubbles or some other issue, the chocolate bar isn’t thrown out. Instead, they ground up into a fine paste and turned into a filling that’s then incorporated back into the production process to create new Kit Kat bars!

Is this how you use a camera?

The ZV-1 is a neat little point and shoot, this pic goes to show, you don’t need the fanciest camera and lens to get a pic. What you need is creativity and well practice.

I genuinely love photography! it gives me a window to being creative!
