I’m so glad that I was able to start into the new year with great friends. That’s actually what I’m the most grateful for. Friends are making this journey we call life more pleasurable. We can share our happy moments with them, but also moments of sadness. They help us see through this chaos and let us know we are not alone.

Our second stop on Christmas Day was the cute little town of Eguisheim. Small alleys, super cute Christmas decorations, lots of wine sellers and a romantic fountain in the center of the town. No wonder why it was used as inspiration for Belle’s town in Disney’s ‘The Beauty and the Beast’.

My hubby and I decided to “flee”our house during the holidays and visit the Alsace region in France. The day of our arrival we basically just stayed in the spa area of the hotel and relax and unwind. The second day we were out and about. Our first stop was this beautiful old castle. My hubby and I love visiting castles. I’m always impressed on how it was build and the history behind it. Do you like castles?
