Dominique started creating pieces as a hobby during Covid. Her love of crystals is what lit a spark in her as a child, and it grew from there. She’s collected for decades…crystals, skulls, taxidermy, and the things that made her family say “that’s so morbid”. It was this comment that made her realize that even in death, there is beauty, and Beautifully Morbid was born. All items are acquired ethically from nature or others, thrifted and gifted. Pieces can range small to large, from shadow boxes, mini domes, jewelry, wet specimens, and mummified pieces. Her main goal is to make what was once beautiful in life, beautiful in death.
