Banded Face Pulls ⁣⁣⁣

If ya haven’t tried these, 10/10 recommend. ⁣⁣⁣
Not only will you get a sweet delt pump, but it looks like you’re trying to break out of handcuffs. Wait, does it? ⁣⁣⁣

Anywhoo, showed these to me, and I absolutely love it! (& I love him too, obvs). ⁣⁣⁣

These face pulls allow a great range of motion and allows your shoulders to take over instead of focusing on your grip! ⁣⁣⁣

Only downside is that if the band breaks you may punch yourself in the face 🤷🏻‍♀️

Monday Mobility…featuring 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬!⁣

These are so simple yet have so many great benefits.⁣

These work those tiny muscles in your rotator cuff, so be light with these!!⁣

Screwdrivers are a great mobility exercise to incorporate even if you aren’t struggling with shoulder problems, since they work on your stability. If you’re working upper body in your programming (which you should) then these are a must!⁣

A year ago, I partially dislocated my shoulder, and I went to a sport therapist to help gain my strength and stability back… and these were a game changer. I incorporated these at least once a week and my strength is back and better than ever in my shoulders!⁣

Negative Pull Ups⁣

𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘶𝘱𝘴? Try these negative pull ups! ⁣

Essentially you can help yourself up to the top position, and then slowwwwly try taking as much time as you can to elongate the “down” part of your pull up. ⁣

Repeat as many times as you can. ⁣

Doing negatives allows your muscles to have more time under tension, or TUT, and creates more muscle fiber recruitment. Because the negative portion goes with gravity, it’s easier to allow your body to come to the ground. Fighting the negative (& making it go slower) improves muscle stability and strength, 1 step closer to doing regular pull ups!

Featuring Bottoms Up Kettlebell Presses⁣

Bottoms Up Kettlebell Presses are a great exercise to incorporate into your routine if you struggle with shoulder stability. Think you already have great stability in your shoulders? Give this a try and see how shaky you are! ⁣

Start with a lower weight (10lbs) and work your way up. Make sure that if you have a watch on to take it off in case the weight comes down and doesn’t crack your screen!⁣
