Wandering in a village, a symphony of noises caught my attention. I tried to follow them, only to end up at the river’s edge with the boat racing festival I was in search of on the other side. I asked a coracle to take me across to no avail, but consolation prize: a guy told me to follow him, which ended at his house and on his motorbike for a quick ride across! I lost the group I was with, but it was worth it!

While my feed up to this point has been mostly just my travel photography, I’ve decided to start sharing more of my commercial, assignment, and other types of work I get into. This one sort of straddles the line in that I was technically traveling with the fam and not working, but while we were at the beautiful @sheratongranddanang, @zznganzz and I took a bit of time to shoot some images that just may be bound for a portfolio at some point.

Here’s a smile to get you started on Monday morning! A man on a ferry as I traveled through the Mekong delta this weekend on a private photo tour with @mpapaeracleous and @saigonphototours

As I wandered the ferry looking for a character (and they’re always are a few!), this lovely gentleman said hello to me before I could him, and I knew we had to make a frame. I quickly scramble to find the angle, outside was too bright, and the inside too busy with cars. Then I come around to parallel with him, and notice the beautiful blue truck he’s standing in front of. Boom, there was my background, perfect!

A few frames from an assignment in Tra Vinh, Mekong delta, a few months ago. Khang, 11, is of Khmer descent like many in this area, and along with his friends, create their own traditional dancing masks. Though it wasn’t really a special occasion they would usually perform for, they treated me to a little show to make some photos!
