What a great first webcast this year on our 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. Hosted by Ibérico - Tapas & Vino and with a very special sponsor, our member SAVALL

Our speakers 𝐊𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 - Founder and Senior Board Adviser of Grant Thornton Vietnam, 𝐌𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐀̀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 - Sustainable hospitality expert and founder of MQL Sustainable Tourism and 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐨 - Area Managing Director South East Asia at Meliá Hotels International, shared very insightful views on business, tourism, sustainability and economy in Vietnam for a very promising 2022.

We can expect a very optimistic growth this year of around 6,5%, tourist will be back but we must continue advising carefully how to develop sustainably and not repeat mistakes we did in our countries, both international but also national tourism will be back as we saw in the past Tet, FDI will be very supportive for investment specially in Infrastructures and Energy, trade agreements such as EVFTA / UKVFTA / CPTPP will be beneficial for all stakeholders and last but not least a green growth which is supported by the guidelines of Primer Minister Mr. Phạm Minh Chính given during COP26 - UN Climate Change Conference.

What a promising year ahead!!!!!

We met friends for what should have been a light dinner but turned into a feast when we couldn’t stop ordering ALL and more of the delicious tapas at the newly-ish opened Ibérico in Thao Dien. We quite literally tried almost their entire menu and topped it off with their unreal baked cheesecake. It’s a great people-watching location with a chilled atmosphere and is so beautifully put together (the decor is such a vibe!). A beautiful way to spend a Tuesday evening in Saigon.

“Tapas” is defined within the Spanish vocabulary. If you want to taste the best tapas, certainly, your destination is Iberico ThaoDien. Do you know where the term “TAPAS” come from???

According to some, tapas began at a farmers’ bar in Seville where the bartenders would serve beer or sherry with a saucer on top to keep the flies out. Escabeche is the name for several dishes in Spanish cuisine, consisting of marinated fish, meat, or vegetables, cooked in an acidic sauce (usually with vinegar), and colored with paprika, citrus, and other spices.

We decided to make a 🍃vegetarian version🌱 of Escabeche. Sour muschroom with Machego cream and hazelnut.
