Two years ago, on Good Friday, I asked Jesus, “Do You really see me? Do You really know what I’m going through? Did You really have me in mind on that cross?”

And this image came to mind… and never left:
Me, standing at the foot of the cross, looking up, feeling small and frustrated, and Jesus, hanging on that cross, up on that mountain. And after being beaten and tortured, physically struggling to keep His head up, hung His head low. And in doing so, His gaze met mine.

And in that moment, I knew. He sees me. He sees the frustration, questioning, pain, doubt… He sees my shame, guilt, sin, regrets… but still, He chose the cross. He chose love.

That should’ve been me on that cross.
But all I can say is “thank You.”

Because I don’t deserve it.
Because He didn’t deserve it.
Because He did it anyway.

He bore that cross with us in mind.
HIs head hung low, perfectly meeting our gaze.
As if to say, “I know. But still. I love you.”

“What if the challenges we face aren’t punishments, but preparation?”

February is always a month of celebration: my birthday (12), mommy’s birthday (15), and my dad’s birthday (17). Sama mo na rin Valentine’s Day. 😅

This year, I decided not to have a birthday gig and just have intimate celebrations with family, and this time, the family’s bigger. I got to spend time with God and celebrate with Aio’s family and mine.

This year’s celebrations were simple but special. Now that I’m married, I live far from my dad and sisters, so seeing them is a lot more special to me now. 🥹

Ganito pala talaga ‘pag trentahin na, nagiging mas-klaro kung ano ang uunahin at kung ano ang mahalaga. 🤍

Exactly 10 years ago, I released my first ever single: Misteryoso.

I knew as early as 10 years old that I wanted to write songs, perform and release them, but I didn’t know it would be something I’d still have so much passion for 21 years later.

Misteryoso (although sometimes would make me cringe) holds a special place in my heart. It marks the beginning of my music career, but more than that, it reminds me of the innocent girl who started putting herself out there just because of her love for music. The girl who tried even without the assurance of success. She was much braver than I am today, but it’s also because of her that I still want to keep trying.

If you’ve been with me since day 1, thank you. You mean a lot to me. 🤍

It feels ordinary, but it isn’t.
It isn’t colorful. It’s realizing that there are more shades of blue than I ever could imagine.

I guess this is 31– slow, quiet, but steady.
A quiet reassurance that I’ve got all that I need, and a gentle reminder that the road ahead me is still long. But I’m far from where I began, and I don’t walk alone. 🍃
