The Health Promotion Unit is under the Ministry of Health and Social Development.

The Health Promotion Unit's mandate is to "strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities to control, improve and maintain physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being." We recognize that health promotion encompasses much more than disease prevention and control, therefore, we strongly advocate for general health and wellness.
