Bequia Threadworks is a nonprofit organisation based on the island of Bequia in St. We ethically produce our own collections under the resortwear brand NOYO and feature handmade pieces by other local designers and artisans in our Boutique in Port Elizabeth. Our collection of womens- and menswear is designed and manufactured in house by our talented team, including a fashion designer, patternmaker
The garden remembers.
Rain caught in orchid petals.
Vanilla carried on the trade winds.
A bench beneath an old tree,
holding stories the earth has not forgotten.
Linen stirs.
Heliconias lean toward the light.
The house breathes through open curtains.
Some places are not seen.
They are felt.
In the hush between blossom and breeze.
In the warmth of sun-worn wood.

We’re proud to give back to the community by offering our annual sewing lessons starting this July. Over the years these courses have helped participants develop practical skills, explore creative expression and create opportunities for personal and professional growth.
