On many modern buildings in Uzbekistan you will see panels of mosaics, often depicting cultural scenes. This attractive example — a scene of musicians and dancers — is at the Expocentre in Tashkent. The mosaics, many of which date from the Soviet period, are the continuation of a centuries-old tradition of tile making in Central Asia, and a belief in the importance of beautifying public spaces so that everyone can enjoy art in their everyday lives.

В Хиве планируется снять фильм по сценарию известного режиссера Бахтиера Худойназарова

Знаменитый кинорежиссёр таких художественных фильмов как «Лунный папа» (1999), «Шик» (2003), «В ожидании Моря» (2012), – Бахтиёр Худойназаров написал сценарий про старинные узбекские обычаи еще несколько лет назад. Но воплотить трогательную историю о любви под названием «Халола» так и не удалось.На 75-м Каннском кинофестивале на Национальном павильоне Узбекистана состоялась встреча с продюсером Володимиром Филипповым – обладателем прав на этот сценарий.В ходе переговоров был подписан меморандум между продюсерской компанией Володимира Филиппова и ГУП "Национальный PR-центр" по проработке кинолокаций для съёмок фильма в Хиве. Точные локации будут выбраны уже в сентябре.

In Khiva, it is planned to shoot a film based on the script of the famous director Bakhtiyor Khudoynazarov

The famous film director of such feature films as "Moon Dad" (1999), "Chic" (2003), "Waiting for the Sea" (2012). Bakhtiyor Khudoynazarov wrote a script about ancient Uzbek customs a few years ago. But it was not possible to realize a touching love story called "Halola".At the 75th Cannes Film Festival at the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with producer Volodimir Filippov, the owner of the rights to this script.During the negotiations, a memorandum was signed between the production company of Volodymyr Filippov and the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR-Center" on the development of film locations for the filming of the film in Khiva. Exact locations will be chosen in September.

Every year on the eve of the holy holiday of eid, Uzbekistan celebrates the holy day of Arafah.  On this day, faithful Muslims remember their departed ancestors, visit the elderly, parents, help those in need, go to family gatherings and prepare all sorts of dishes that they share with relatives, neighbors and friends.  Arafah is one of the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of kindness, generosity, compassion and forgiveness.
