Sunset Birthing

Hi! Sorry I’ve been MIA. After our first class series back in October 2021, I got some news regarding my son. I was 19 weeks along and was diagnosed with a heart defect. A few scans later we were given a more accurate and not as scary diagnosis and we’re cleared by cardiology. Skip to his birth in March, and the rollercoaster started again. A few scans and tests later it was determined he did need surgery and sooner rather than later. We had his surgery on may 11 to correct a vascular ring and coarctation of the aorta. Surgery for those issues went well and his heart is functioning as if nothing ever happened. However- he sustained stress to his vocal cords, leaving them with partial paralysis. We’re still in the hospital trying to figure out how to safely get him home and what support he may need.
I had been planning to do a class starting this month, but unfortunately will not be able to do that. Until we get home and know what our new normal will look like, I can’t dedicate the time I need to for a class series.
I would encourage anyone who is interested to look into doing the home study course. It’s self paced and goes through all the same information, just without the birthing rehearsal. I can be available for a one on one after course completion to answer any questions, do a birth rehearsal and help you feel more confident and comfortable in your birthing journey. Glad to answer questions/concerns along the way as well!
I look forward to when I can resume teaching classes and helping prepare new moms for their births. I will keep you posted on when that is. Hopefully soon ❤️❤️ We just need to get my little one home first.
