I was just telling Ray Ricke yesterday that I started working on a factory floor at the age of 14 and he was total surprised. I actually became a certified forklift operator at age 16 and when I graduated high school on a Friday, I turned around Monday morning and started work at Harley Davidson - pulling a double shift my first day. Day 1, we had orientation 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and at the end of orientation, half of us were told we were assigned to third shift (myself included); we were told to go home, take a nap and report back at 11:00 pm. I did not have a senior week at the beach - I started my summer age 17, building motorcycles at night at Harley Davidson, steel toe boots and all!

So I was really excited to take on this marketing, photography and web design project for The Purcell Co. last summer. Never having a website before, I met with their executives to learn their vision and goals, photographed and filmed their team in action on the factory floor and created a website for their multi-generation, family business that rivals their competitors in both substance and style.

Happy Saturday! We are so happy to bring you another round of . Today we focus on another fellow The Business of Cassandra Storm. You may recognize her work, she has done my professional headshots!

Cassandra established her photography business in York, PA 17 years ago and is not only known for her commercial photography but also her photography work in the LGBTQIA community. She began photographing transgender conferences in 2012 and last year she went a step further as a trans advocate by launching an online, interactive talk show and community for trans women called My Feminine Heart. This year she created Yoga with My Girlfriends, a safe community online for trans women and friends to gather, learn and practice yoga together.
