Community Health Awareness Network
Community Health Awareness Network Grows Equity is a non-profit health care organization in MA.
Who said life-saving skills should wait until adulthood? The earlier we teach CPR, the safer our communities become. 💪🌟
Every Wednesday at 51 Gage Street, Community Health Awareness Network Grows Equity (CHANGE ) brings health and hygiene education to middle school students at the ACE After School Program through our Healthy Habits Initiative (HHI). What started as simple conversations around handwashing has grown into meaningful discussions about mental health, diet, exercise, leadership, and healthy living. Watching our youth become more engaged, curious, and empowered each week has been an amazing journey.
And today’s conversation? CPR. 🚑❤️ From learning when to call 911 to understanding chest compressions and emergency response basics, these students are gaining practical skills that could one day help save a life. Today was beyond amazing, because preparing youth early means building stronger, safer communities for tomorrow.

What a beautiful way to start Nurses Week! Two inspiring days well spent at the Prevent Cancer Dialogue in Arlington. It was an incredible experience being surrounded by so many like-minded individuals passionate about prevention, early detection, research, and community impact. The data, new research, valuable insights, networking opportunities, and innovative strategies shared throughout the conference were both enlightening and empowering.
I am leaving this experience encouraged, motivated, and deeply inspired by the future of cancer prevention and community health. Thank you to Prevent Cancer Foundation for creating such a meaningful space for learning and collaboration. Most importantly, thank you to the Board of Directors of Community Health Awareness Network Grows Equity (CHANGE) for supporting this trip and believing in the importance of growth, leadership, and advocacy.
A special thank you to my family for your love, encouragement, prayers, and continuous support throughout this journey. I am truly grateful.
