Dear Friends & Loyal Customers,
The rumor is true. The Red Barn is closing its barn doors at the end of this season. We are retiring from vegetable farming to get some much needed rest and to play with our grandchildren.
We will be having a "Going Out of Business" sale beginning Oct. 24th and going through Nov. 8th. Our hours in Oct are 8-6 daily and in Nov 9-6 daily.
Starting in October, we will be selling off all remaining merchandise including furniture, lamps, baskets, seasonal items, giftware, and kitchenware. Also, we will have some great sales on all remaining produce and gourmet food. Beginning in November, we will sell cash registers, display tables, painted signs, coolers, freezers, and you name it!
So please come and see us for one last hurrah and pick up a few items that you have had your eye on. Thank you all for being wonderful customers for the last 51 years!

Fall Festival begins today! Spooky house, corn maze, petting zoo, haystack, hayrides, face & pumpkin painting, yummy treats at Mom's kitchen, and of course lots and lots of pumpkins!
Mirai sweet corn is in and it is delicious!! 🌽
If anyone can help us out with this problem, please call Dave, April, or Cathy (815-338-4343). We have lost our farm animal rental company so we are looking for 2 small friendly goats, 2 sheep, and 2 chickens for our pumpkin festival. We would need to keep them from Sept. 25 to Oct. 31. We would feed and care for them. We will pay you $500 for the 5 weeks. The children who visit us on a daily basis will provide all the love!
The produce from the fields is starting to come in: lettuce, green onions, beets, kohlrabi, and cabbage. Peas of all varieties (shells, sugar snap, snow) are abundant. Please call ahead (815-338-4343) if you want to freeze some for winter. Carrots and broccoli are close, but sad to say asparagus is ending.
**All plants, pottery, and yard furniture is on sale.
Spring is here and we are open! 8-6 everyday. We have a great selection of blooming hanging baskets and locally grown perennials. Vegetable plants include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, kohl crops, and pumpkins. We also have strawberry and rhubarb plants. Fill your own containers with a fabulous selection of 4 inch annuals.
Asparagus just came in today and rhubarb should be coming shortly.
