I got the main bearings, seals, and the the main output bearing replaced, inspected the transmission, and resealed the cases with Yamabond. Everything went much smoother using the new toaster oven (instead of localized heat), and the method. Many thanks to Mike for letting me pester him. I should have the cylinder back from any day now. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures of a complete motor by next week! . . . . . .

The first major step to making this bike look like something is the plastic upgrade. just started offering their upgrade kits for 99-02 KXs. It uses the 19 and up KX450 plastic, along with custom made brackets, a fender extension, and a custom seat. It really made a huge difference in the look, but I’m just getting started. Stay tuned! . . . . . . . . . . .
