What if a Saturday evening changed the way you think about food?
Open Scene is opening the doors of the André Smith Residence at the Art & History Museums of Maitland, one of the most extraordinary private spaces in the city, for an evening that is part craft, part conversation, part pure pleasure.
Chef and Open Scene’s Culinary experiences expert Carlos Camacho will guide six guests through the meditative craft of making fresh pasta from scratch. Hands in flour. Wine in glass. An intimate conversation about food as culture, memory, and connection.
Three hours. Every sense engaged. $90 per person, all-inclusive.
Saturday, June 27 · 5–8 pm
When the six seats are filled, reservations close.

Since 1971, Versailles has referred to itself as “the world’s most famous Cuban restaurant”.
More than a slogan, it feels like a declaration of identity.
There are restaurants that surprise through innovation, and there are others that endure because they have become part of people’s memories. Versailles belongs to the latter.
Its worn menus, green typography, and familiar dining room seem untouched by time, preserving an image that generations of Cubans and visitors have come to recognize.
Its cuisine follows the same philosophy. There are no unnecessary reinterpretations or fleeting trends, only dishes that have remained beloved for decades. Plates of bistec slowly bathed in sauce, arroz moro also called ‘’congri’’, sweet plantains, and hearty soups speak
of a cuisine built around comfort, generosity, and tradition.
Yet perhaps the most recognizable ritual comes at the end of the meal. A small metal pitcher filled with Cuban coffee and a cup of warm milk remind us that hospitality is often found in the simplest gestures.
Conversation slows down, memories emerge, and the table becomes something greater than a place to eat.
In a city constantly reinventing itself, Versailles remains faithful to its own history. And perhaps that is precisely why, more than fifty years later, it continues to feel familiar, not only to Cubans, but to anyone who understands that food is one of the ways culture preserves itself.

🍷💬 Do Identities Connect Us, or Contain Us?
We often think of identity as something that brings people together. But what happens when identity becomes a box?
Join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation as we explore the ways identities shape our sense of belonging, community, and culture. Together, we’ll examine questions that rarely have simple answers:
Who decides where we belong? How many identities can we hold at once? When does identity empower us, and when does it limit us?
Late Conversations is not a lecture or a debate. It’s a space for curiosity, dialogue, and meaningful exchange in an intimate setting with fellow thinkers, artists, and community members.
Come with questions. Leave with more.

⚽🎙️ ENCUENTROS
There are voices we never forget. Not because of what they said, but because of how they said it—because, for a fleeting moment, sound became image.
As the 2026 World Cup begins across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, Encuentros, the interview section of Open Zine, sits down with one of the most recognizable voices in Latin American sports broadcasting.
Humberto Bejarano has spent more than four decades narrating the game. Seven World Cups, countless Copa América and Copa Libertadores tournaments, and seasons of Spanish and Italian football have passed through his microphone. From the studios of RCTV and major international sports networks to his YouTube channel today, he has accompanied generations of fans through the language of sport.
From Venezuela, where he continues to share his passion for football with audiences around the world, we asked him a simple question:
🌎 What changes from one World Cup to the next?

Dolce and bake
In this place, you feel cared for and at peace; the rhythm of its spaces makes you feel as though time does not exist within its walls. Its minimalist style is enriched by small details that express the soul of its offering, bringing together good food, human connection, art, and excellent coffee.
Its culinary offering is a glimpse into the heart of Venezuelan cuisine, combined with classics from other traditions. On the menu, you can find everything from omelets, pancakes, and sandwiches to traditional Venezuelan specialties such as the classic desayuno criollo.
They possess a strong sense of urgency and hospitality. Those who serve here are genuinely passionate about what they do, take pride in what they offer, and are excited to share it with you.
Their offering goes beyond gastronomy. From time to time, they host different artistic experiences, such as oil painting classes or cake decorating workshops, all accompanied by their excellent coffee.

Coro Restaurant
Uncommon flavors, experimentation, creativity, passion, and hospitality — these are the words that, for us, best describe Coro Restaurant.
It is a purist and innovative concept built around a regularly changing menu, seasonal and fresh ingredients sourced from local farms, and a philosophy where each dish is not simply a meal, but an experience that tells a story through its presentation, flavors, and elements.
Inside the kitchen, you will find something different from the usual approach. Rather than following the classic kitchen brigade structure, Coro brings together a group of young, yet highly experienced and exceptionally talented chefs who combine their individual journeys and imagination to express themselves through avant-garde cuisine.
This team of chefs creates, prepares, cooks, and personally presents their dishes to the table, becoming an active part of the guest’s dining experience.
Creative freedom, respect for every ingredient, support for local farms and businesses, and the constant desire to innovate while continuously pushing their own limits are what have positioned Coro as one of Orlando’s best restaurants. Without a doubt, one of the most beautifully executed culinary and artistic experiences in the city.
Congratulations to on earning its new Michelin Bib Gourmand 2026 distinction.

What do we remember most about a restaurant? For some, it may be the waiting time, the flavor of the food, the quality of the service, or the number of zeros on the bill.
Perhaps the answer is different for each of us, but if there is one thing we will always remember, it is how
that place made us feel.
Port 27 has that special something that makes it feel different from any other place. More than just somewhere to eat, it is a space for human connection where you can experience a variety of cultural moments, including culinary ones.
As you walk through its hallways, surrounded by small wooden houses, each one offers a different experience: from a vinyl record shop featuring catalogs of artists like The Beatles and Celia Cruz, to an art studio where you can learn real painting and craft techniques, and
up to five different culinary options, whether it be pizza, tacos, crêpes, sushi, or cheeseburgers.
Its natural spaces encourage a human connection with nature. This is not merely botanical decoration; it is a place built around the local flora, one that has learned to coexist with it in harmony, as a single living space.
If you are someone who appreciates music, you will find the live performances fascinating, as the band brings the entire audience together through songs in both English and Spanish.
The combination of nature, landscaping, craftsmanship, music, and gastronomy within one unique experience results in the social and cultural integration of those who live it and share it.
At Open Scene, we believe the arts are a bridge: connecting communities, preserving cultural memory, and linking our to the world through shared stories, rhythms, and experiences.
