Project Search Barrow

Introducing our 2023-2024 Project SEARCH interns and new Skills Trainer, Mrs. Tam!! This year is going to full of leaning and gaining new skills to set them up for the future!

Thank you for your support and words of encouragement. We are grateful to have Barrow County Economic Development as a partner and community resource.

What a great year this has been! Our interns have gained transferable skills that will serve them throughout adulthood. We are so proud of their accomplishments this year and look forward to watching them succeed. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the amazing staff Chico's

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to share the opportunity of Project SEARCH to 16 prospective interns. They received a tour of Chico’s and were very interested in the opportunity of becoming an intern next year! We are excited to see what next year holds!

We wrapped up December with a guest “speaker” /“painter”🎨. The interns did a great job with step by step instructions and now have a beautiful masterpiece to share!

🔦INTERN SPOTLIGHT🔦
This young man is currently in the pack-out department here at Chico’s FAS. He is learning this department with efficiency and is currently meeting the departments productivity goals. He has proven to be a great asset to the department during this internship rotation. We are very proud of him and his accomplishments. He has been trained in all components of the department including pack-out, auto-bagger, and spider support. His work ethic is superb and he is always on task. Keep up the great work!

It is so great to be apart of the 20 year celebration at Chico’s FAS!

Working on our financial literacy unit this week…Knowing how to order and what our cost will be when we eat out is important!

We recently had a special guest that spoke to the interns about careers in law enforcement, safe driving and his day-to-day experiences as a law enforcement officer. Thank you for your visit and to our supportive employment agency for setting this up!!

This department is one that requires flexibility and teamwork and she has proven to already be a great asset to the department. Keep up the great work!!
