Mother’s Day honey extraction is officially in the books!
This year’s harvest is a beautiful light, early-spring honey with a delicate flavor and atoma profile that captures the best of the season. Bottling is complete, and now it’s time to add the labels.
These jars will be making their way to the shelves at Bonnie Blue Southern Market & Bakery by the weekend.

The results of our honey analyses are in! 🍯🐝 It looks like our bees have been busy foraging mostly on local apple blossoms, though each batch still shows its own unique blend of nectar sources. 🌸🌼 Year-to-year differences are expected, and since we don’t target specific nectar flows, our spring honey simply reflects the natural progression of blooms from late winter through Father’s Day. An authentic taste of the season!

These short, looping flights help them memorize the location of their hive using the sun, landmarks, and even scents. Here are our bees doing just that in the early afternoon. They’re not swarming or aggressive. They’re just learning their way home!
