We’re behind, but it’s decorating day today. Yay.

I ask Alexa to play Christmas music and she starts with “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” As I warm neti pot water to try to get some of this crud out of my nasal passages, the dogs come in from outside and Violet is all wet on her backside.

Charlie PI**ED ALL OVER HER. So I pivot and clean up poor Violet while my R.Kelly dog watches like “What?”

8am and it’s the most wonderful time for a BEER maybe.

Listen to me, please. Life is hard. Work is stressful no matter who you are or what you do.

Don’t be the person who always works through their lunch break. Pull yourself away. That half an hour or whatever of downtime will help you recharge and be better at whatever it is you do!

Whether it’s going to a cool Thai place with coworkers or grabbing a sandwich alone and listening to the annoying pop music on the restaurant radio, take that time for you!!

Get some sun, take a walk, drive around listening to your fave podcast or playlist. I don’t care. Just do it.
