The enemy only attacks what is valuable.

And now here's the good news about that principle:
if he's attacking you and if he only attacks what's valuable,
guess what that means about you?
You must be important.
There must be something about you that the demons know that you don't even know about you yet.
They must know that if you ever get free and forgiven and full of the Spirit of God, you're about to do some damage to the darkness.

Ralf Friedrichs Without Faith, Nothing is Possible!

If God feels distant to you right now, you're not alone. All of us, no matter how mature in our faith, have moments when we think, "God, I wish you would give me a sign right now. I feel uneasy. I don't feel at rest." These feelings are not sinful. They’re completely human and normal. And I’ve learned that a lot of times God uses distance in our feelings to call us deeper in our faith.

You want to know the one good thing about going through a dark season? You start to appreciate the light when it comes. And if you’re like me, I know what it’s like to have weeks and weeks where it’s harder to rejoice. So when you find a reason to be grateful, grab on tight. Try to recognize today that God’s still with you. And when God feels distant, He isn’t. He’s just calling you deeper.

The Bible says in
(1 Peter 1:16)
“Be holy, because I am holy.”
O believer, do you really look like Jesus?
Do you look like His wonderful personality? Do you look like his meekness and humility?
Do you have such His love, kindness, and tenderness? Are you similar to His holiness and sincerity? Are you similar to His faithfulness in the service and dedication? Are you similar to His forgiveness towards His enemies and His love to them?
Do you imitate His deeds, or do you just admire them, preach them, and talk about them to others?.
If we live according to what we have known about Jesus and what we have learned about Him, then we will be able to imitate Jesus in our behavior and take Him as a pattern in our life, and then the people will see that we are followers of Jesus because we are exactly like Him in our behavior.
This's what the Lord invites us to be by saying to us, “Be holy, because I am holy.”
So, be like Jesus in His courage and don't shy of the gospel of Christ.
Imitate Jesus in all your ways and in every possible way. So, in every matter you face in your life, imagine that Jesus was in your place, facing this matter, and ask yourself what He would have done? then, do like Him now. In these days, we see some people read Jesus' words and His commandments and they admire them, but unfortunately they don't strive to live in their behavior according to Jesus' words, because they think that Jesus' words are only beautiful unpractical words, and they can't live according to them on earth !!!
But the reality is that a lot of believers today are living according to Jesus' word in everything, and the Holy Spirit gives the believers the grace and capacity to make us live according to the will of God on the path of holiness. Consequently, the followers of Jesus must always imitate their Lord Jesus.

Pray these words:
Jesus, help me to imitate You in everything and to live my life according to Your will and in all the matters that I face in my life, in order to please You in all my behavior, and to testify to you through my behavior with others. O Lord, help me to be a light to the world to glorify Your name through my words and my actions as well ... in Jesus’ name I pray .. Amen.

I believe in always giving and resist the temptation in receiving.
Matthew 6:1-34
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. ...

People may not recognize you yet: your boss doesn’t give you credit, relatives discount you and think you don’t have much to offer.
You may be overlooked now, but the time is coming when you’re going to be noticed.
People are going to recognize your value, your gifts, your talents.
God is going to cause you to stand out.
You’re going to go from being unnoticed to being in charge, from being not recognized to being the favorite.
You couldn’t have made it happen on your own.
That’s God's blessing on your life.

Spiritually Strong

“I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
—Psalm 119:11

Years ago I was on a flight home when the pilot made an announcement about 45 minutes from the airport. He said that we would have to make an emergency landing, and the flight attendants would be going over the safety procedures with us once again.
Now, when the flight attendants went through those procedures the first time, I was reading a magazine and didn’t pay that much attention.
But things had changed. And you’d better believe that I listened to the flight attendants the second time.
What made the difference? My life depended on it. (And by the way, I landed safely.)

When we hear the Word of God, we need to listen as though our lives depend on it because they do—
our spiritual lives do.
Think of it this way.
We’re in a spiritual battle, and we fight a spiritual battle with spiritual weapons.
Ephesians 6:17 tells us, “Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”.
Memorize and use the Word of God.
Soon after the famous evangelist Billy Sunday became a Christian, he went to an older minister and asked him for some advice on how to grow spiritually.
The man replied, “If you will spend fifteen minutes a day letting God talk to you through the Bible, and fifteen minutes talking to God in prayer, and fifteen minutes talking to someone about God, they will never write ‘backslider’ after your name.”
How does God speak to us?
He speaks to us primarily through the Word of God, the Bible.
A successful Christian will be a Bible-studying Christian, and a failing Christian will be someone who doesn’t open the Word of God.
You determine what kind of Christian you will be.

Pursuit towards the right knowledge

Paul said in (1 Corinthians 2:2)
“I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

Many believers are suffering because they are striving to global knowledge instead of the right knowledge of the Bible which is: (God's Word).
God says: "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge"
(Hosea 4:6). Apostle Paul was a learned, educated and universal man and I think he was better than many in terms of knowledge, international and religious culture, but unfortunately he was wanting to murder the Christians before his faith in Jesus as savior !.
But thanks the Lord for His plan to Paul's life, because Jesus announced Himself to Paul in a wonderful way which changed his life completely. When Paul realized that global knowledge couldn't be compared with the spiritual knowledge, then he determined to know only Jesus Christ and his Word throughout his life. Paul discovered that every global knowledge was based on rituals, habits, traditions and on the opinions of the religious leaders, but in fact, the true spiritual knowledge comes only from God's Word (the Bible) and not from anywhere else.
Are you seeking the right knowledge about the Lord by reading the Bible and living according to God's Word? ... Or you only want to build your faith and your spiritual beliefs on rituals, habits, traditions and on the opinions of the religious leaders?. Some people think that they shouldn’t read the Bible, because the Bible is dedicated to be read from the religious leaders only, and then the religious leaders will explain the Bible to the people and guide them to God' teachings !!! But this idea don't have any basis of true, because the Lord will repay you in Judgment day based on everything were written in the Bible, and you won't be able to say to the Lord that you hadn't been living according to the Bible teachings because your religious leader had learned you wrong teachings about the Bible !!! Consequently, it’s good to listen to the church's leaders about the Bible, but doesn't build your faith and your beliefs on the basis of the opinions of the religious leaders. Rather, read in your Bible, which is the only basis that will give you the right knowledge. So, strive to the right knowledge.

Facing Fear in the Face of Coronavirus

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
—Isaiah 26:3

In the past month, an article about worry over the coronavirus has been viewed 17,000 times.

The fear is palpable.

As our nation prepares for the worst, our prayers are with those who are suffering as a result of the coronavirus, there are those who are sick, those who have lost family members, and those who are put into economic difficulties due to this virus.

Wednesday alone was a big day for coronavirus news as the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic. The same day, the United States announced a travel ban from most European countries to the U.S., except for American citizens.
After one pro-basketball player tested positive for the virus, the NBA cancelled their season.

A day later came the announcement that NCAA tournaments would be cancelled, just as March Madness would normally be ramping up.
Other major sports leagues are following suit.

As many cities and venues aim to limit large gatherings, I want to call all of us to prayer

Let us join together in praying that God will give the medical community a vaccine and effective treatments that will save lives, also pray for President Donald J. Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and other world leaders as they make tough decisions that impact all of us and the well-being of the nations. We need to ask God for His wisdom, help, and provision.
Fear cannot take hold unless it is fed. If we dwell on a perceived threat, panic will take over. If we dwell on Christ, peace will prevail.

The same is true today. While media reports and a plunging stock market may throw people into a panic, centering your life on Christ and keeping the focus on Him can calm those anxieties.
While there are still unknowns, He is constant, unchanging and all-powerful—not just today but for all time.
I pray for all of us today

A Prayer To Be Real

I can’t seem to shake a conversation I recently had with a friend.
We were talking about some struggles in his life, and he exclaimed, "I just wish everyone would get REAL!
I feel so isolated- like I'm the only one going through things.
When it’s time for prayer requests, people talk about their sick family members, but I would love to hear someone say for once that they need prayer for their marriage or a real personal struggle!”

He went on, “You know that old saying, Go to the throne and not the phone?
Well, I know I need to take it to the Lord, but I also need to hear my friends talk about what's really going on in their lives so I don't feel so alone!"

Wow. The truth is that my friend is not alone.
We all have struggles.
But why is it that we keep them to ourselves?
Why do we feel the need to carry on a facade in front of people instead of sharing our hearts?
Even those closest to us?

I can't help but feel like people want truth.
But I have found that the truth they want to hear is the truth that is comfortable and noncontroversial and easy to digest.
A nicer version of the truth, if you will. But the problem is... that's not the real thing.

The real thing... the real truth... is uncomfortable and controversial and hard to digest many times. It sometimes breaks your heart and takes you completely out of your comfort zone.
It goes under the surface and reveals those things that can be embarrassing and hard to admit.
But so many times, those hard places are where the Lord shows us who He really is.

I want to be a friend who can share what is really going on in my life.
I want to be able to share my heartaches, disappointments and fears, and feel completely free in doing so. I want to be a friend who can listen, without interrupting, to those I love when they share their heartaches and disappointments and fears, and have them feel completely safe in doing so, because they can trust that I will not share what I've heard.
I desperately want to be REAL.

So, how do we move past a picture-perfect social media world and polite smiles and "How are you? Oh, I'm doing great!" to just. being. real?
While there is no one perfect answer, I think a good place to start is taking a good look at who I really am in the Lord.

In Joel 2:12-13, Joel shares this message from the Lord: "Turn to me now while there is still time. Give me your hearts… Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead."

I can just hear the urgency and frustration in His voice! He doesn't want a show for others to see. He wants our broken hearts. He wants us to take everything we have - our hopes and dreams and fears, our disappointments and hurts and every bad thing we've ever done - all of those things stored up in our hearts - and give them to Him. When we do that, when we really surrender all to Him and lay it all out there, we can face the reality of who we are.

When we understand that the Lord wants us and accepts us and LOVES us with all of our mess, it's not quite as scary to share with others. Rejection from people is not as daunting because we know we are accepted and loved by the One who matters most.

It also leaves us free to listen to our friends with judgment-free, humble hearts, because we know that we are all the same: sinners who need a Savior in a broken world that just stinks sometimes. We are freer to be the body of Christ and not just people who go to church together.

My earnest prayer is that we would all find that friend and be that friend who can just be real. That we can say, "I don't have it all together. I need prayer. I need a shoulder to cry on." And that friend will do the same in return.

But most importantly, don't ever forget that Jesus is our ultimate friend. He came to Earth to walk among us and feel what we feel. He gets it. He has been here. He is always available. And He is the only one who will never let us down.

"Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him." - 1 Chronicles 16:11

Dear Jesus,

I So Desperately Want To Be A Friend Who Can Be Real. Help Me To Have Courage In Sharing My Struggles With Others That They Might Encourage Me And Love Me Through Them. Help Me To Be Available For My Friends To Listen When They Need Me. And More Than Anything, Lord, Help Me To Surrender Wholeheartedly To You And Seek You Always.
In Your Mighty Name,

Amen.

"Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith."
Hebrews 12:1-2

In the middle of the as I was laying there praying and then being still in the presence of the Lord I dozed off briefly and had a quick vision of me running a race.
I immediately woke up and felt the Holy Spirit speak to me about running the race of life with perseverance!
And I immediately felt led to this passage of scripture in Hebrews 12:1-2. The truth is our life can be a long and sometimes difficult race. We often grow weary and are in great need of rest; but this race is not like any we have ever run.
We do not compete against the other runners, nor do we all even run the same course.
We run the race marked out by our Heavenly Father; and yet, we ALL must strive toward the same finish line.
Perseverance means "to persist in spite of opposition or discouragement." But the original Greek includes the idea of patience and a determined endurance.
We are therefore being told to patiently run the race, and to keep on running with determination and endurance, in spite of opposition or discouragement.
Hindrances to our race can be represented by w**ds which try to wrap around our legs and slow us down.
This "sin that so easily entangles" can often be difficult to even recognize.
We may be running a clear path without a hint of w**ds; everything has been going well and we feel immune to the temptations of this world.
But without our eyes fixed on Jesus - without our heart fully trusting Him for every step - our path can become covered before we even realize there's a problem.
We must maintain an acute awareness of the condition of our path.
Weeds are not acceptable and must be cleared away (the word of God and prayer is an excellent w**d killer!).
There are no circumstances where w**ds add beneficial "flavor" or excitement - they ALWAYS hinder!!
Please remember that our race is a long marathon, not a quick sprint. In order to persevere, we must prepare for many hills and valleys (and w**ds) along the way.
We must develop a burning desire to one day boldly say; "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith"
(2 Timothy 4:7).
Jesus endured the cross (finished the race) because of "the joy set before Him"
(Hebrews 12:2).
And as we keep our eyes on Jesus as our eternal joy, we "will not grow weary and lose heart"
(Hebrews 12:3)
So No matter what this day may bring, we must persist with our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus. Yes, some days we may only be able to take small baby steps, but still we must continue and run with the sole purpose of bringing Him glory and honor in ALL we do. Our race will be filled with joy and peace, but we must commit to a life of absolute trust in the Lord and run the race with perseverance!

Look around; find the favor connections in your life. Don’t be jealous because they have more; don’t be intimidated because they’re further along. Celebrate them, honor them, cheer them on. If you’ll do this, I believe and declare, because you’re connected to favor, new doors are going to open, new opportunities, new levels. You’re going to rise higher, accomplish dreams, and reach the fullness of your destiny.

"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

The good news that we read in the verses above is that we have everything we need in order to overcome that which is set up against our God, against us.
Our weapons have “divine power” to “demolish strongholds.”
It does not say that we have pretty good stuff, will be able to put up a fight, and hopefully win. No!
Look at the power in those words- DIVINE power to DEMOLISH (completely destroy) strongholds.

Satan loves to assault our minds with warfare and convince us to agree with his lies. Our minds are often a battle zone that the enemy targets. And every stronghold begins with a simple thought. We get a negative thought and instead of renouncing it, we make a subtle agreement with it. God wants us to renounce and correct negative unbiblical thinking. Instead of listening to these lies, commit your mind to God. Let His Holy Spirit work with your thinking and bring it into alignment with His word. The more we think of the Lord Jesus the less we think of ourselves. The greater He is the central focus of our thoughts the more we have captivated every imagination in obedience to Christ.
When we take God’s Word and place the promises and truth inside against our fears and doubts, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ they are demolished and abolished. No matter the spiritual violence that he attempts to wreak on us, as believers, we can set him in full retreat through the power that we have through Jesus Christ.
When we submit our lives to God, when we engage the mighty weapons God has given, and when we resist the devil, he will flee before us (James 4:7).
We have authority through the name of Jesus, the power of His Word, and His overcoming Blood.
Our Savior will crush him under our feet and lead us to victory.
