Elsa wishes everyone a Happy Neck Tie Day! That's her grandpa Carrel's tie.

Elsa is not from Louisiana (so she can't make her own Roux yet) so she is trying to decide which Roux to use for National Gumbo Day. Any thoughts?

tomorrow is the last day to register to vote for this election. we'll be registering folks at the Willis Library from noon to 5pm!

today is Pet Tricks Day. Elsa went all out!

This was for Quesadilla and Comic Book Day. It appears Elsa was a bit more interested in the quesadilla than the comic book. Where are her priorities!!!

Today is Punctuation Day. Elsa is tuckered out from trying to choose her favorite punctuation mark!

Today is National Girls' Night In Day and Elsa is SOOOO ready!

Tuesday was National Pet Bird Day and Elsa and I had plans to take pics with Cathie's parrot Sweet Pea. Unfortunately after 30 active years, Sweet Pea passed away a few days before. But because we miss him so much, we made this tribute to him. This pic includes 3 of his feathers and some flowers. WE MISS YOU SWEET PEA, say hi to Daisy and Coti for me.

In honor of National Farm Animal Awareness Week, we have a guest poster. Piggy Montano! I'm not sure she is representative of many farm animals since she sleeps inside under a blanket and has her own personal library. Also every 6 mos when she goes to Texas A&M for her check up and spa day including hoof clipping, she comes back with her hoofs painted a sparkly red but regardless here she is.

Had a busy day today. As part of the History Taskforce help organize a yard clean up and got an abandoned trailer removed at St. Matthews Baptist Church in preparation for the dedication of a Montgomery County Historical Plaque honoring the the church which was started in the 1880s. Here are some before and after pics and the big trailer I got moved.
