Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility 💜🏳️‍⚧️

Regardless of borders, language, or political malice:
We each deserve safety and community.

Remember our transgender sibling who can’t be visible this holiday. How many of us are hiding from ICE, hiding who we are to avoid being reported to ICE, or have been deported somewhere where we must focus on our survival before our visibility.

Celebrate for them.
Be vibrant and happy today for those who cannot.

Join us at the Trans Day of Visibility Picnic. There you can meet ICTalerta rapid responders and get an extra special whistle.

Lastly, thank you for being a member of our community, seeking to learn about the groups that make this community so diverse, for loving boldly, and practicing revolutionary optimism.

This is why we never recommend online reporting tools like ICE OUT, ICE BLOCK, or People Over Papers. Report to ICTalerta to avoid creating a panic, and allow us to get out to confirm, alert the community, and document.

We try to support opportunities for our community’s voice to be heard.
In about 4 hours a group of kindhearted neighbors from throughout Wichita will be meeting at Delano Clock Tower.

If you’d like to stand with them, but feel shy about being empty-handed at a protest, a couple of folks will be gathering ahead of time at Vagabonds for coffee and sign-crafting!

Paint, markers, and stencils will be available, but cardboard and foam signs are first come first served!
