The Impactful Coaching Project (ICP) seeks to develop coaches that coach the whole person.
ICP is the thought leader in coaching the 21st century athlete and produces training, information, and research to help coaches develop.
Your athlete is already being coached.
The question is:
By whom?
Every athlete has an internal dialogue running through their head—fear, doubt, expectations, criticism, confidence.
Good coaching isn't just about what we say to athletes.
It's about helping them understand what they're already saying to themselves.
The second book exists because of a conversation I kept having with new athletic directors and my personal experience.
Every one of them had been a good coach. None of them had been trained to supervise one. They got handed a department and a title and were expected to develop people in a job nobody had developed them for.
Athletic Department Leadership and Developing Coaches is the book I wanted to hand them.
Leading and Coaching the 21st Century Athlete came first, and it is the other half. It is about reaching the athletes currently on your roster rather than the ones you coached a decade ago.
Both are built on the same athlete research everything here rests on.
