🎉Announcing our largest, single investment to date! 🎉 This morning, we announced a $1 million transformative challenge grant to support the vital work of Second Light in our community’s mission to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.

We’re proud to support this critical asset in our community’s collective fight to end homelessness. Second Light’s mission goes beyond providing a temporary safe place. It is designed as a one-stop resource hub where people experiencing homelessness can access wrap-around services, connect with providers, and take meaningful next steps toward healing, stability, and housing.

With this challenge grant, we encourage businesses, government partners, foundations, faith communities, and private philanthropists to join us in matching these funds so Second Light has the opportunity to scale up, strengthen its operations, and transform its vision into reality.

United is the Way we invest in solutions that create lasting stability, stronger futures, and renewed hope for those facing homelessness.

We may have won the most rowdy table award last night, but how can you keep quiet when celebrating these two communications legends?

Vera Bothner and Tami Bradley were honored as 2026 Wichita Business Journal Women in Business Hall of Fame awardees.

I am so grateful to have had their mentorship and friendship for over 25 years. They have done (and are still doing!) incredible work for our community. They are smart, humble and kind.
