A ton of people ask me what Skye is. He's known as a rough collie, a scotch collie, old time scotch collie, etc. A Lassie! While he IS a rough collie, he's not a floofer bred for the show ring; he's a working boy! His floof does get thicker during the winter, but not anything like dogs that are bred for that coat. Instead, he's got the easy coat, brill temperament, and sweet smarts of a real working dog.
(Don't get too excited to get one unless you've got time to spend with them, though. Every working dog takes work. Imagine putting all that drive in a house for 23 hours a day....)
