LUYL means Level Up Your Life. This page is my creation to connect men for mentorship. The idea is to gamify "leveling up" in your daily life. Level up every day!
I believe that every person needs a mentor that is where the other person wants to be. I am a learning oriented person who has always strived to make myself better on a daily basis. Sometimes I do better at that than others. I definitely have a need to this page, as much as I believe people out there need what I hope to create with this.

We're continuing our interview series leading up to the launch on Nov 23. My cousin Jon tells a very compelling story about a challenging day as an Air Force officer. Every person that I've ever met is superior to me in some way. I'm building a men's mentorship community focused on helping men to Level Up on a daily basis. We're set to launch on Mighty Networks Nov 23, 2024, and I'm looking to put together a team of 50 good, growth minded men from my life as the initial members/mentors. This will entail joining the community on or after prelaunch on October 15th, feedback on the way that I've built out the community, completing the LUYL Mentor Qualification, and being available to accept as few as one or two mentees who most resonate with your life experience. You will receive a >99% discount on your first annual membership, and you will be paid (as an independent contractor) for your time with mentees. Hey everyone! I've fallen off the social media band wagon a little bit, but I'm working in the back ground. I'm here with your best interests in mind. LUYL is getting built and will be launching full blast here very shortly. I've got a list of 10 things we can all work on being better at.
1. Define Your Values: Know what you stand for and let it guide your decisions.
2. Own Your Actions: Take responsibility for mistakes and learn from them.
3. Work Hard: Build a strong work ethic and give your best effort in everything you do.
4. Build Emotional Intelligence: Practice empathy, listen actively, and communicate effectively.
5. Invest in Growth: Keep learning, improving, and challenging yourself.
6. Foster Healthy Relationships: Surround yourself with supportive, positive people.
7. Embrace Resilience: Face challenges head-on and view setbacks as opportunities to grow.
8. Be Kind and Respectful: Treat everyone with decency and respect.

Our Characteristic of the Week is Servant Leadership
Servant leadership isn't just a style—it's a mindset. By putting others' needs first and helping people develop and perform to their highest potential, we build a stronger, more connected team. It's about leading with empathy, actively listening, and serving with purpose. When leaders focus on empowering and uplifting those around them, they inspire trust, collaboration, and genuine success. Let's redefine leadership by putting service at its core and watch how it transforms our communities and organizations.
When you transition yourself from focusing on personal achievement to focusing on group achievement or helping others achieve, the real personal growth and fulfillment begins. Even if you aren't a leader of anyone, you can still find others for you to influence. You can find someone who would love to be exactly where you are. Helping them succeed will create a level of wholesome achievement that you can't get from personally achieving something.

Perseverance is the key to unlocking your potential!
I want to remind you of something crucial: Success doesn't happen overnight. It's a journey filled with hard work, dedication, and a lot of perseverance.
There will be days when you feel like giving up, when the obstacles seem too daunting, and the path too unclear. But remember, every setback is just a setup for a comeback. Every challenge you face is an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to become stronger.
It's easy to get discouraged when things don't go as planned. But let those moments be the fire that fuels your determination. Keep pushing forward, even when it's tough. Keep your eyes on the prize and your heart full of passion.
Having a mentor and a partner in accountability is a key part to not only establishing your goals, but keeping at them through adversity. That is why our characteristic of the week is Perseverance.
Celebrate your small victories along the way. They are stepping stones towards your bigger goals. Surround yourself with positivity and people who believe in you. And most importantly, believe in yourself. You've got everything it takes to succeed.
Keep going, keep striving, and never, ever give up. Your perseverance will lead you to greatness.

If you've ever met me, I don't really care to be in the spotlight. I don't really like to be in front of a camera. I bought everything I need to record a basic podcast. I've gotten some mentorship and assistance on making this happen. Now it's time to fail forward and get this going. I could decide not to face my challenge and hide my face, but I would have to live with the regret of not making this project happen and not helping people through LUYL. Podcast will be launching soon, YouTube channel and other things to follow.
