What an honor to serve at the Sankofa CPE inaugural conference. Black Chaplains Rock.
This week is set to be like none other. There are not many spaces that center the mental wellness of Black chaplains and clergy while also equipping us to be well as we serve others.
I am deeply grateful to be part of a sacred space that will hold, restore, and soothe our collective being.
Thank you Dr. and for the trust and invitation.

For those of us who still believe… but don’t quite know where we belong.
We’re not lost.
We’re becoming.
God is still near in the in-between.
And there is a space where we will be fully seen, fully held, and fully at home.
Until then… breathe, trust, and keep showing up.
This Monday, go deeper than your feelings.
And if you are honest, life will not always give you reasons to feel happy. But there is a deeper well within you that can still hold you steady.
Pause
Breathe
Check in with your spirit
What is still holding you together beneath the surface.
Resurrection is about more than pain.
It’s about what refuses to stay buried.
It’s about life breaking through the very place that tried to end you.
What felt like your ending
might just be the ground where you rise.

This is your sign to stop shrinking and lean into the Wild. There is more waiting for you than you were taught to expect.

Stepping into this moment with so much gratitude and even more energy. I am HYPE. Rooted in legacy, guided by imagination, and aligned with the work I’ve been called to do.
I remember attending Ebony Exploration as a seminarian at Gammon. From there I moved into shaping spaces, stories, and pathways for Black theological creatives, seekers, and justice-dreamers.
And now I get to return as a speaker. This is a full circle moment for real.
The Sacred Homecoming continues.
