Fall enrollment numbers are in at WSU Tech. 💛🖤

This fall, students are taking more classes at WSU Tech than ever in college history, with record credit hours among both adult and high school students. We’re also serving more adult students than ever before.

This growth matters because Kansas needs more skilled workers, more accessible pathways into high-demand careers, and more opportunities for people to build their future right here in Wichita.

We’re proud to keep growing alongside Wichita State University and creating more opportunities for students across our community.

This fall, Wichita State welcomed the largest freshman class in its 131-year history, helping drive a combined enrollment of 24,640 students across Wichita State and WSU Tech. The milestone reflects growing demand for applied learning, career-focused education and pathways that help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.

This is what hands-on, applied learning can look like at WSU Tech.

Last week, our Surgical Technology students celebrated Surgical Technologist Week with the Surgical Tech Olympics, putting their skills to the test through a little friendly competition (Did we mention this was for Surgical Technology 😉).

From instrument recognition and precision to communication, speed, teamwork and critical thinking, each event challenged students to apply what they’re learning in a different way.

Because sometimes learning looks like a lab, sometimes it looks like a clinical setting, and sometimes it looks like the Lap Pad Launch or the Great Asepto Race.

And when you’re preparing for a career you can truly love, learning should be something you can enjoy along the way.

‼️WSU Tech will be closed on Friday, September 25th, for an all-employee inservice day‼️

The Veterinary Nursing Program takes on the Kansas State Fair 🐷🐾

This past weekend, our WSU Tech Vet Nursing students partnered with K-State veterinary students at the Kansas State Fair to share their skills and knowledge with fairgoers through hands-on community education.

During interactive demonstrations, students guided fairgoers of all ages through a variety of veterinary nursing skills, including everything from using a stethoscope to practicing bandaging and suturing! 🩺
