Stop by between 3:10 and 3:35 this week to check the Lost and Found. We have quite a bit of lost items. All remaining items will be donated on May 21.

Yesterday’s Field Day was full of laughs, teamwork, sloshy shoes, and unstoppable school spirit! Even with the wet and chilly weather, our students powered through like true STINGERS do, with smiles on their faces and energy to spare. 🐝⚡️
We’re so proud of these amazing kids and the memories made as we buzz toward the end of another incredible school year! 🎉📚💛

Today we’re celebrating our amazing school nurses. Nurse Kaitlin and Nurse Hannah, calm, caring faces who keep our students safe, supported, and ready to learn. From small scrapes to big feelings, they handle it all with patience, kindness, and just the right touch of humor.

Part medical expert, part problem-solver, and always a trusted helper. We’re so grateful for everything they do each and every day.

Two students came to school today with the exact same hairstyle this morning like they secretly planned a twin day without telling the rest of us. 😂 When they noticed, there was lots of giggling and big smiles. What a great reminder that sometimes the little things are what can make a day extra special!

Tomorrow is Field Day! Rain or shine*, we will be headed to Athletic Park for our activities. Please make sure to send your students with the appropriate attire for the cooler weather and a jacket if possible. Weather permitting, students will eat lunch in the park as well. We are looking forward to a fun day!

*If the weather worsens before field day, we may reschedule for another date and will update families as these changes are made.

Hi Stinger Families, our Lost and Found is pretty full. Take a look at the photos. If you see something that belongs to your student, please stop by and pick it up. All items still remaining at the end of the school year will be donated.

Double celebration today 🎉 Happy Principal’s Day and Happy Birthday! We’re pretty sure the students think this is their party… but we’re lucky to have a principal who makes every day feel worth celebrating! Drop a shout out to Mr. Kirkpatrick in the comments!

Big news for our students and bookshelves! Author Gordon Korman came to Sunset today and yes, we tried very hard to stay calm about it. 😄

The mastermind behind so many hilarious, can’t-put-it-down stories spoke with students about writing, imagination, and how he comes up with all those wild ideas. We had lots of laughs and expect a few future authors in the making, and probably some kids suddenly deciding reading is their new favorite hobby.
