**Important Security Note Regarding Your Key Replacement**
It’s a common misconception that "erasing" a key makes the physical metal blade stop working. If a "company" tells you this is the fix, you are talking to an imposter locksmith company.
While we can electronically "erase" your stolen keys and remotes so the vehicle cannot be started or driven, please keep the following in mind:
1. The Ignition/Engine: The stolen key will no longer start the car.
2. The Remote: The stolen remote’s buttons will no longer unlock
the doors.
3. The Door Lock: Because the physical "teeth" of the stolen key still match your door lock, someone could still manually unlock the door to get inside the cabin.
4. There is no $600.00 reprogramming fix for this situation.
To fully prevent entry, the physical lock cylinders (keyways) would need to be replaced or re-keyed. If you stick with just the electronic erasure for now, your vehicle remains immobilized and safe from being driven away.
