One of my recent finished pieces. A Garlic Herb st****er that I made for my Brother and Sister-in-law. This is a piece I knew I wanted to make from the moment I started throwing again and I definitely want to make more! I was thinking about making it one of the items that I offer to sell (if thats something I end up doing). What do you think, would it be worth it?

Part of one of my pieces was placed on the "Shelf of Fame" at the local studio I go too! It was the bottom half of a failed French Butter Crock (the lid warped during glaze firing and no longer fits inside the base). I love how the glaze combo turned out and will definitely be using it again!
Clear glaze inside
Mayco White x3 all over outside
Duncan Melted Caramel x2 (or 3? Can't remember) middle band
Amaco Seaweed x2 top 3rd (and inner rim)

While working on this travel mug, it crumbled while I was trying to poke the straw hole in the top... while I'm devastated by the set back, it just means that I get an opportunity to make it better the next go around. I'll learn from my mistakes and try again! Thats the beauty of clay! This piece will live to become a pot another day!

I feel like I haven't thrown in a month! Ive just been too busy glazing all the bisqued projects on my shelf! Trying to get the rest of my butter crocks done so I can get them to their new homes.

I was going to wait until they were all done (I've got 3 more currently in the works) but I just couldn't wait to show off my most recent French Butter Crocks! I've really enjoyed making them and I just hope that their recipients love them as much as I do!

I'm making a list of things that I would like to try and offer as items I can sell and these are definitely on the list!

Another 2-Piece Planter found it's forever home! I tried a new technique with painting on the glaze and although it didn't turn out how I envisioned, I'm still extremely pleased with how it turned out. Let me know what you think!

Its glaze day! Only getting 2 of my things Glazed but its something. Progress is progress!

My crafting buddy always keeping me company. He'd probably prefer being right in my lap, but he's settling for just being in the same space. He's guarding/sleeping on one of my projects....luckily its already leatherhard and shouldn't be too easy to warp... and if it does, its was more of an experimental piece anyways. 😸

The clay gods were very kind to me today and I was very productive in the studio. I have 2 weeks left of my membership at for the time being so I'm trying to make the most of it. I was able to get 7 pieces thrown today, 6 of which were 3 sets of French Butter Bells and then I made one mug (which I have yet to make the handle for). I'll use these last 2 weeks at the studio for trimming and firing these pieces while I finish my big secret piece at home. I'll miss the wheel... I hope I won't have to wait too long before I can hop back on one.

I've never felt like sculpting or fine detail work was my strong suit. I've always preferred creating the actual vessel itself on the wheel. But I'm happy with how these lilies turned out and just hope they survive the firing process. This is such a special piece, It would really break my heart if something went wrong... just gotta trust the process.
