☀️🎉 Summer may be winding down, but the celebration is just getting started!

Last week, we celebrated the caregivers whose dedication, teamwork and support keep Lutheran Hospital strong every day. From caring for our patients to supporting one another, our caregivers make Lutheran a special place for our community. We enjoyed great food, carnival games, music, treats and plenty of fun as we relaxed, reconnected and celebrated together before summer comes to a close.

This NICU Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the compassionate caregivers who are there for our smallest patients and their families during some of their biggest moments.

From providing specialized care to offering a reassuring hand, our NICU nurses bring skill, heart and dedication to every shift. Our 19 NICU nurses have more than 320 years of combined experience and last year, we cared for over 170 babies.

Su***de can affect people in many ways — whether you’ve experienced suicidal thoughts or behaviors, supported someone who has, or lost someone to su***de.

Talking about these experiences can be difficult, especially when fear of judgment keeps people silent. Creating space for open, compassionate conversations can help break down stigma, encourage connection and make it easier for people to reach out when they need support.

More than 200 patients. One incredibly busy day. And a team that showed exactly what collaboration looks like. 💙

On July 29, Lutheran Hospital’s Emergency Department experienced one of its busiest days in recent history, treating more than 200 patients while the hospital managed a high number of patients across the facility.

Caregivers throughout Lutheran stepped in to keep care moving, coordinate admissions, prepare beds and support patient flow — a meaningful reflection of the team’s continued focus on the patient experience.

The milestone comes as Lutheran celebrates two years in its new hospital building and continues working toward Level I Trauma Center designation.

“The building is new, but the people and culture aren’t,” said Bridget Raley, interim ED director. “We brought our people here. We brought our culture here. And we’ve continued to build on it over the last two years.”

👏 A well-deserved honor for our Trauma team!

Last week, Lutheran Hospital’s Trauma team was recognized by the Wheat Ridge Optimist Club for their outstanding service to our community.

Each year, the Optimist Club honors individuals and teams who go above and beyond in serving others, and we’re proud to see our caregivers recognized for the important work they do every day.

From providing expert care in critical moments to supporting patients and families when they need it most, our Trauma team makes a meaningful difference throughout our community.
