7 Lessons from You Become What You Think by Shubham Kumar Singh
This transformative book explores how your thoughts shape your reality and offers practical strategies to cultivate a success mindset. Here are the key insights:
1. Your Thoughts Create Your Reality
The book opens with a powerful premise: "You don't become what you want, you become what you believe."
Neuroscience Backing: Studies show repetitive thoughts strengthen neural pathways, literally rewiring your brain (neuroplasticity).
2. The 3:1 Positivity Ratio
Research reveals you need three positive thoughts to counterbalance one negative thought for optimal mental health.
Practice: Start a "win journal" to record daily successes, however small.
3. Mental Diet Matters
What you consume mentally (news, social media, conversations) is as important as physical nutrition.
Action Step: Conduct a 7-day "mental detox" by eliminating negative inputs.
4. Thought Replacement Therapy
When negative thoughts arise:
Acknowledge them without judgment
Question their validity
Replace with empowering alternatives
Example: "I'm bad at this" → "I'm still learning this skill"
5. Visualization is Mental Rehearsal
Olympic athletes use this technique: Your brain can't distinguish between vivid imagination and real experience.
Exercise: Spend 5 minutes daily visualizing your ideal future self.
6. The Ripple Effect of Thoughts
Your dominant thoughts influence:
Your words
Your actions
Your habits
Your destiny
Key Insight: "First you make your thoughts, then your thoughts make you."
7. The 21-Day Mind Reset
It takes approximately 21 days to form a new mental habit. The book provides a structured program to:
Identify limiting beliefs
Install empowering ones
Create a "thought immune system"
The Core Message
"Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. Change your thinking, and you change your life."
Try This Today:
For the next 24 hours, monitor your self-talk. Every negative thought, reframe it into a positive or neutral statement.
(Note: While building on classic thought leadership principles, this book stands out for its practical, step-by-step application system.)
For deeper work, explore chapters on:
"The Belief Blueprint" (how core beliefs form)
"Thought Gardening" (cultivating your mental landscape)

Help the bees please 🌸.
I make no apologies for repeating this message 🐝
If you see a bee of any description on the floor or not flying other than on a flowering plant, it is STARVING! You can help.
We are currently well into the 'June Gap' - the time between when the Spring flowering plants stop and the Autumn flowers start producing pollen and nectar.
You can help by mixing two parts sugar to one part water and offering the syrup to the bee. She (and they are mostly ladies) will happily drink from a teaspoon. You'll see her little black tongue as she drinks. It will take about 10 minutes for her to convert the syrup to energy, but she will fly away if you've helped her in time. The feeling you get on seeing her recovery and flight is well worth your time.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary measure and 'First Aid' only. The Bees need diversity in their diet and need to pollinate plants in their search for food. I'm not suggesting we feed sugar to Bees as a regular thing.
NO HONEY PLEASE - Disease can be spread easily from colony to colony through this practice and you will do more damage than good. White sugar and water only please x
They can't thank you, so I will on their behalf.
Thanks a million xx 🐝🐝🐝🐝

They say there once lived a man so lazy… he did absolutely nothing from sunrise to sunset.
His wife, fed up with doing everything on her own, kept telling him:
— “You can’t go on like this! I work all day, and you don’t even get up! You’re going to wear me out!”
To which he calmly replied:
— “Don’t worry, my love… one day we’ll be rich and you won’t have to work anymore.”
— “And how exactly will we get rich if you don’t even move?”
— “They say there’s a wise man beyond the mountains who has all the answers. I’ll go ask him.”
And so, despite his laziness, the man set off the next day.
Along the road, he met a skinny, miserable-looking wolf.
— “Where are you headed?” asked the wolf.
— “To ask the wise man how to become rich.”
— “If you do, could you also ask him why I’m so thin? No matter how much I eat, I never gain weight.”
— “Sure,” said the lazy man.
Further on, he came across an apple tree with rotting fruit.
— “Please, ask the wise man why my apples rot before they ripen.”
— “No problem.”
And then a fish gasped from a nearby lake:
— “Help me… there’s something stuck in my throat. Please ask the wise man what to do.”
— “Will do,” said the lazy man.
After a long journey, he found the wise man meditating at sunset.
— “What can I do to become rich?” asked the man. “Also, I have a few more questions…”
The wise man answered:
— “The fish has a gem lodged in its throat. If someone removes it, they’ll gain treasure and the fish will heal.”
— “The tree has a chest of gold buried under its roots. Dig it up and the tree will bear healthy fruit.”
— “And the wolf? He must eat the first lazy man he meets on his path.”
— “What about me? How do I become rich?”
— “Simple. Retrace your steps.”
The lazy man grinned. “Perfect! I don’t have to do anything at all.”
As he passed the fish again:
— “Take the gem! It’s yours!”
— “Jump in the water? No thanks. The wise man said I just have to walk back.”
The tree pleaded:
— “Dig under my roots! You’ll find treasure!”
— “Dig? Too much work.”
Finally, he reached the wolf.
— “What did the wise man say about me?”
— “He said you must eat the first lazy man you find.”
— “Perfect,” said the wolf.
And just like that… laziness devoured the lazy man — literally.
Moral:
Laziness doesn’t just steal your opportunities — it can consume you.
He had the path to wealth in his hands.
But he didn’t want to get wet.
Didn’t want to dig.
Didn’t want to help.
Even when the reward was certain.
Effort isn’t a punishment — it’s the only real path to growth, success, and purpose.
There’s no magic formula.
Only work, persistence, and heart.
Success doesn’t come to those who wait…
It comes to those who move.
So ask yourself today:
How far are you really willing to go for your dream?
