Little Saigon Living Trust

If your parents have not yet set up their living trust, maybe you need to help them get started.

Last week I got a call from a woman whose mother was very sick in the hospital. I've been doing this long enough to know that when I get a call like this, we have to move fast. I spent an hour or so with daughter in the office, got all of the deeds immediately from a title company that I use, did my work, arranged for notary to come with me to the hospital, and got everything done and signed in one day. I took the deeds to the county recorder the very next day to get them recorded. Two days later, daughter called me to tell that mom passed away last night.

Did I charge extra for doing all this so quickly, for going to the hospital, and for recording things myself immediately? No. When you need someone who cares about you and your family, I need you to know that we are the type of persons who care about people first and foremost.

Talking about living trusts is tough stuff. It's depressing for everybody. Nobody likes to do this ... but it's necessary for a lot of people ... especially those with small children.

If you are one of those who think you can just wait ... I feel sorry for your kids. The unexpected can happen at any time.
