Check your this produce-forward menu our high school culinary student driven business executed over the weekend! All of our students learn sustainability, waste management, cost control, and how to incorporate fresh local products into their cooking. We grow many of the vegetables used in lab!

🌱 Check out the amazing garden at Washington Woods Elementary! From kale and cabbage to tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, beans, and herbs—it’s a bountiful harvest. They also have a fun rock garden, painted by the students

🙌 Our FCCLA members rolled up their sleeves after school to harvest and then turned those fresh tomatoes into a delicious tomato bisque soup. Chef Ferreira’s class even made chicken stock with garden veggies to use in our soups and sauces.

We had an abundant harvest of cabbage at MTES. Our students made awesome cabbage rolls to sell to staff, and have as a lab meal. We love making veggie eating fun at WHS!

Preparing A Garden Bed With Cardboard Preparing a garden bed with cardboard is an inexpensive way to improve soil structure and create a sterile seed bed ready for spring planting.

Our school gardens have thrived this summer, thanks to the incredible dedication of our staff and volunteers!

RPP lead at Maple Glen, Amy McLeland, grew many crops includ blackberries, tomaotes, peppers, garlic, herbs, polinators, a butterfly garden, and more! 🌶️

Our Monon Trail garden has an abundance kale, squash, beans, onions, gourds, other produce, and massive sunflowers! 🌻

We’re excited to welcome students back to a bountiful harvest — ready for hands-on learning and enjoyment.
