🌱 Check out the amazing garden at Washington Woods Elementary! From kale and cabbage to tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, beans, and herbs—it’s a bountiful harvest. They also have a fun rock garden, painted by the students
🙌 Our FCCLA members rolled up their sleeves after school to harvest and then turned those fresh tomatoes into a delicious tomato bisque soup. Chef Ferreira’s class even made chicken stock with garden veggies to use in our soups and sauces.

We had an abundant harvest of cabbage at MTES. Our students made awesome cabbage rolls to sell to staff, and have as a lab meal. We love making veggie eating fun at WHS!

Did you know cardboard can be a gardener’s best friend? 📦🌱 It’s a natural, chemical-free way to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and improve soil health as it breaks down. Perfect for starting new beds or practicing no-dig gardening! Bonus, it is naturally compostable!
