Delaware City councilman charged with harassment, menacing by stalking 01/05/2026

Today, just a few days after a second charge, Councilman Hoffman did the right thing and resigned.

I am hopeful that he can get the help that he needs and glad he finally made the right decision.

Delaware City councilman charged with harassment, menacing by stalking Cory Hoffman has served on the council since November 2019 and was re-elected in November 2023.

My heart goes out to the Rollins family. This has been one of the strangest stories ever in Delaware County and I am so glad that the family and friends of Trenton finally got some closure.

Thank you to all those involved, including Delaware Policy Department, Columbus Police Department, and especially the Chaos Divers, for all your hard work in bringing closure to the family and community.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I hope all of you are enjoying some great food and great company.

One thing I am more thankful for this year compared to others is all the fantastic people I’ve met in the last year on the campaign trail. You really have made 2025 one of the best years of my life and I am so thankful for all of you out there.

Here’s to you and yours.

Another bad look for Delaware County and our elected officials.

I will reiterate, I believe our elected officials should be held to the highest standard.

In the interest of the community, it would probably be best for Judge Schuck to step down as well, at least until a formal investigation can be completed.

: Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge James Schuck has been accused of pressuring an attorney in the prosecutor’s office to have s*x, according to a new legal filing revealed Tuesday. https://nbc4i.co/49GNQXw?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_NBC4

I am calling on City Councilman Hoffman to resign.

This is not the first time Hoffman has made the news for unacceptable behavior.

It is in his interest, and the interest of the community, that Delaware has someone who properly represents them and be of good moral character.

I hope Councilman Hoffman can get the help that he needs. It is my opinion that elected officials should be held to the highest standard and we most hold our own accountable before we ask for others to hold their own accountable.

Regardless of your political views, we need more elected officials that are like Sherrod Brown. Someone who doesn’t think they are better than anyone else. Someone who has the same hobbies and interests as many of us. Someone who is just trying his best to do what he can to make his community better.

We need more people like Sherrod and if I am lucky enough, I will be half the gentleman he is and have 10% of the success.

Delaware County's high home prices are becoming unaffordable for residents, report shows 11/20/2025

Delaware county is facing the same problems many other suburban counties around the country that are next to major urban centers, especially those with high income per capita.

The source of the problem is basic economics, supply and demand.

The demand for people wanting to live in Delaware County has skyrocketed over the last 2 decades. Supply, though increasing, has not kept up. And what supply has come online has strained our infrastructure.

What we need is new leadership from our local governments with new ideas to address people’s issues.

Decreasing demand is not a real solution as the only thing anyone could control about that is attracting people to the area and no one wants to see decreasing property values.

But what we can do is build housing in a more economical way with more lower and middle income housing to address affordability, planning our roads, water, sewer, and electrical systems knowing the growth will happen, and foresee where new schools will need to go.

Delaware county needs a 5, 10, and 20 year plan.

Delaware County's high home prices are becoming unaffordable for residents, report shows Delaware County has the highest average home values in Ohio, and homes are slowly become unaffordable for residents, according to a new county study.

This is a bad look for the zoo.

Remember, it is actually located within Delaware County even though Franklin County tax payers help pay for it and Liberty Township provides emergency services without any tax revenue to help cover those services.

The Columbus Zoo just proved they have zero respect for Liberty Township and Powell taxpayers – and zero respect for our state legislators who went out of their way to try to help fix this problem.

On Monday, State Senator Andrew Brenner arranged a meeting at the Ohio Statehouse to bring everyone together to find a solution to the hundreds of thousands of dollars our taxpayers shell out paying for emergency services at the Columbus Zoo. State Representatives Brian Lorenz and Beth Lear came to help, proving we’ve got great elected leaders fighting for us in Columbus.

Liberty Township Trustee Shyra Eichhorn and Fiscal Officer Rick Karr both showed up ready to negotiate in good faith.

The Columbus Zoo? They didn’t bother to show up. Empty chairs. Total no-show.

Instead of sitting down with five elected officials who dropped everything to find a solution, the Zoo is hiding behind lobbyists in Columbus, pushing to completely repeal the Protect and Serve Fee in state law so they can keep sticking our taxpayers with the bill – and pay not one cent.

Liberty Township and Powell families should NOT be forced to subsidize a huge nonprofit that made more than $10 million in profit last year. Our fire department has to respond to calls about exotic animal escapes and attacks, along with the calls that come with the massive crowds.
