In July 2025, Amy Amantea travelled to Toronto to lead a workshop on describing ballet with The Arts Assembly and Dancemakers. Working alongside choreographer Annemarie Cabri and her dancers, the group explored new ways to weave access directly into movement and choreography. Their collaboration resulted in an original piece shaped by description, imagination, and shared creative process, culminating in a community showcase for local dancers, artists, and blind/low vision audiences.

Join Amy and Annemarie at the next Describer’s Cafe as they share key moments, insights, and takeaways from this cross-disciplinary project.
