With the extreme cold we've been experiencing, the instant thought when you go to start your car and it turns over real slow or doesn't turn over is that your battery is completely dead and it's time to replace it. However, you may find at times that you can allow it to warm back up and charge it and it is still good.

This is why we test batteries for free at our store. Odds are if you've had the battery 5 years or more it may need replaced, but let us test it first. You may save yourself a little money this holiday season.

Polar is getting extra excited for the snow coming! In all seriousness it's actually Sam that's excited.

Stop in and grab whatever you may need for the car before Thursday when its supposed to get nasty.

As of right now, we will be open 8AM to Noon on Saturday for whatever breaks on you and we'll keep you posted if we close on Thursday or Friday due to the conditions but as of right now we plan to be here to support our snow plow operators.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but WE WILL be open normal hours on Friday. Online orders will be pulled on Friday morning. Be advised we will not receive any special orders from our Distribution Center until Saturday.

Are you ready for the first snow of the season? We have scrapers, sidewalk salt, deicer, and more!

A long duration light snow event is expected to begin late tonight across southeast IA, northeast MO, and west central IL and lift north through the day Tuesday. There may be breaks in the snow falling during the day with an increase in coverage and intensity in the afternoon. Overall 1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast mostly on elevated and grassy surfaces. That said, slick spots will be possible on area roads and sidewalks so please take it slow while driving tomorrow. Some places across the far south could see 2-3 inches total. Expect slick surfaces, especially if untreated.

From the school: With the football team playing 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the UNI-Dome, there will be NO SCHOOL that day. Go cheer on the Bears!

We're all ready for the winter season. De-Icer Spray, Diesel Additive, Air Line Antifreeze, Scrapers, Shovels, and even Snow Plow Oil and Markers. We also have a limited amount of Ice Melt on hand should you need some of that.
