KEEP AUSTIN ALIVE!!
Local businesses need your support right now. We understand times are tough and glasses/contacts can be more expensive when shopping local. Lenscrafters does not need your support, Walmart does not need your support. Private practices need you the most right now! So let's pay it forward... bring in 3 receipts from a local business in Austin with 5 locations or less (and they can only be in Austin) and we will give you $50 off your complete pair of glasses *Insurance co-pays must be met first* No favor, Uber eats, Grubhub receipts allowed, must be directly from the business so the money goes to the owners!
We are all in this together and even a little bit can help!! It's time to keep it local!
Offer expires July 31st

Hello Austin!!
We are so excited to announce we will start seeing our patients for routine eye exams on May 1st!!
We have been open the entire time during COVID for medical necessity exams and have already had measures in place for all of our safety. It will be a gradual process for our office to regain our sense of normalcy and our #1 priority is safety for you and our staff.
We will keep our reduced hours for now.
Monday -Thursday 9 am
-4:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am- 1:00 pm
*We will update these hours weekly as we hope to have normal hours by the end of May/early June*
For now, we will still operate by appointment only. Please call/text us when you arrive and will let you in. If you wish to come in to purchase glasses and/or have them adjusted please make an appointment for this as well.
We will require all of our staff AND PATIENTS to wear masks. We are disinfecting all exams rooms in between patients and as well as frames as they are tried on. We understand it might be hard to see if you like your frames with a mask on... so we have set up a private consultation room so you can remove your mask.
Thank you so much for your understanding during these challenging times. We are anxious as anyone to get back to normal and it is our job to do it safely for our staff and our patients.

Who’s ready for some good news? Dr. Yousef delivered her twins on April 6!
She gave birth to two healthy babies: Adeline Rose Neiman at 6.3 lbs and Arthur Dillion Neiman at 6.13 lbs. We are over the moon for their new family and love them so much already ❤️
Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Austin, we are taking further precautions in order to better control our office environment.
Our # 1 priority is the safety of everyone in our office, at any given time. Therefore, we have reduced our office hours to the following.
Monday-Thursday 9:00-4:00 pm
Friday 8:00- 1:00 pm
We ask that if you are on the schedule for your annual eye exam and are not experiencing any vision changes that you please reschedule your appointment. This will allow the space in our office for patients who are experiencing vision changes and medical eye emergencies.
Entering our office will be by appointment only. Please call or text us when you arrive and we will let you in. While we will always have staff and a doctor available in the office during our business hours, our doors will remain locked to avoid unnecessary foot traffic.
If you do not have an appointment and need our assistance, please knock or call once you arrive and we will let you in depending on how many patients are currently in the office. We may require you to have a short wait before entering our office.
If you have less than a 3 month supply of contacts, we strongly encourage you to call our office and order more. We can direct ship for free or allow for curbside pick up.
As a reminder we are fielding all red eye/swollen eye visits to telemedicine. During business hours, please call or text our office at 512-327-3130 and we will schedule a virtual visit with a doctor. After hours, reach out to our on-call doctor.
You may also email us at [email protected] with questions/concerns/re-fill requests/orders etc as this account will be monitored hourly. Please give us 24 hours to reply to your email.
The doctors took an oath to take care of our community. We ask that our patients follow the city ordinance in place until April 30th to help keep our staff safe so we can continue to serve you. We hope to never have to close during this time and always be available for essential eye care while the pandemic lasts.
We are all in this together, let's all do our part!
Stay safe and healthy,
~ Your SWV Family
Dear valued patients,
With the rapid changes surrounding the COVID-19, we highly recommend ordering contacts if you have less than a 3 month supply. We offer curbside pick-up or we will ship them directly to you complimentary. Call or text (512) 327-3130 or email [email protected] to place your order.
It is also recommended not to wear contact lenses if you are sick, and as we are finding traces of COVID-19 in the tears. Therefore it is VERY important you have a back up pair of glasses you can see well enough to drive in. If you do not, please call our office and we can go over your options. Stay safe and healthy!! ~ Your SWV Family
Red Eye Alert 🚨 (Viral conjunctivitis and COVID-19)
Recent reports have suggested that COVID-19 may cause conjunctivitis. It is understood that viral traces can be found in tears.
Interestingly, conjunctivitis seems to be a LATE feature of COVID-19, so it is unlikely that a person would present with "red eye" secondary to COVID-19 without other symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
However, as a precaution, we have decided to remotely screen all "red eyes" via tele-medicine. Please contact our office at 512-327-3130 and we will be happy to schedule a virtual appointment.
Dear Valued Patients,
Our hearts go out to those around the world who have been affected by COVID-19, which in reality is all of us one way or the other. We are monitoring the situation daily and will take any necessary precautions to keep our community safe.
As a doctor’s office we have always been committed to the highest quality of cleanliness and sanitation. The methods which have been in place for years, will continue to be in place now, as well as improved on as the CDC adds to the guidelines. We sterilize every exam room after use, constantly wash our hands with every patient encounter, sterilize all public places (waiting room, front desk, optical, and bathrooms) throughout the day, and restrict staff from working when they are sick. Recently we have added additional sick leave to our staff so they can stay committed to public safety and not worry about a decrease in their pay.
We implement all guidelines as recommended by the CDC, WHO, and OSHA in order to prevent the spread of communicable disease.
While we want you to always make decisions you feel most comfortable with, we ask that you continue coming in for your vision needs. However, we want to remind our patients that if you are experiencing a fever, cough, or other flu-like symptoms, and/or have been around anyone else with these symptoms, to please stay home. We will do whatever we can to accommodate you, whether it be reschedule for routine exams or attempting to treat/diagnose a medical concern remotely.
Please do all you can to stay healthy. We value our patients as if you are family and we care for each of you dearly.
We appreciate your continued confidence in us to keep our patients and staff healthy.
Sincerely,
Your Southwest Vision Family
