I watched “Nothing Compares” the powerful Showtime documentary about Sinead O’Connor’s story and legacy.

I admire her courage and creative resilience as an artist, activist, and survivor of child abuse.

Sinead was demonized for her SNL protest performance confronting the Pope’s complicity in covering up the s*xual abuse of children in the Catholic Church.

Instead of being treated as a brave survivor who was challenging this corruption and violence, she was ridiculed and vilified.

I am encouraged to see she is finally being honored for her remarkable body of work.
