In case you had not heard, Dr. Celmer (aka Dr. Bob) has been awarded the 2017 Rossing Prize in Acoustics Education, to be given during the Acoustical Society of America's (ASA) conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, December, 2017.
From the ASA website: "The Rossing Prize in Acoustics Education was established in 2003 from a generous gift made to the Acoustical Society Foundation by Thomas D. Rossing to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions toward furthering acoustics education through distinguished teaching, creation of educational materials, textbook writing and other activities. "
On a personal note, I can think of no one more deserving of such an award; Dr. Bob is one of brightest people whom I have ever met (and the best instructor whom I have ever known).
Please join me in congratulating him - this is a very high honor, indeed.
