At one time or another, everyone has heard the expression, 'Someone's trash is someone else's treasure.' But how do we know that a find is worth the energy, time and efforts in restoration? That is where I come in. My name is Alice Fecsko and I welcome you to Junkin' Treasures.
Beginning merely as a hobby to express my born-with-it passion for antiques, I began searching for those needle in the haystacks - the priceless pieces filled with historic charm. Combined with the natural thrill of my discovering such treasures, I was also able to use my innate ability to see beyond a damaged surface and recognize the raw, original beauty that lies underneath. I then hand painted and restored countless antiques out of my own home. That was until family and friends - and their friends - began bringing me their own 'finds' for me to restore - and even asking to buy what was in my living room! It was then that I realized it was time to expand!
