Greater Things Roasters

Hello! I was going to place an order for bubble tea online, but decided to go in person, my order came to about $6, totally ok that. But if I were to order it online it would have been around $8. I’m wondering why I would have had to pay $2 extra for the SAME thing the only difference is ordering in person vs online…I would have been charged to add the boba, and the type of milk of which whole milk was not a choice.. just curious as to why the SAME product is more if ordered online?

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you these last 16 months. Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to close our cafe. This Saturday, June 25th, will be our last day of business.

We understand this decision may come as a surprise and may seem sudden. As some of our customers may know, we have four young children and are involved in other family businesses. We have had to make some difficult decisions regarding our children’s education especially in light of a particular developing health situation. In light of this situation, we have realized that for our family’s current well-being, we need to take a step back to go forward.

With these reasons in mind, we hope our decision is able to be understood as we have so enjoyed being a part of our community in a special way this last year. We will forever be grateful for our amazing staff and loyal customers who have graciously supported us along the way.

From our hearts, we want to say, “Thank you!”

We are working with another local family to pass the baton. In our eyes, this transfer-ship is an ideal situation where the cafe would live on under new leadership. As this situation develops, we will keep you updated.

Two things we love about early spring... the glimmer of warm weather and maple syrup! As the weather starts to turn, the sugar shacks in the northeast turn up the heat to produce the novel, local maple syrup we create our delicious coffee drinks with! Our friends at make some of the best local maple syrup right here in the Catskill Mountains. We have hot and iced maple lattes as our signature drink special, made with real maple nuggets + Ceylon cinnamon + milk of choice. Fresh maple syrup is available to add to any drink you would like!

First up is Naomi. She is a life-long Coxsackie native. When she isn’t making delicious drinks, she is making unique pottery including the hand thrown mugs we sell in the cafe.

Naomi’s drink of choice is a steamed cinnamon oat milk latte with honey and vanilla. It’s a delicious and warm drink that is sure to keep you warm on these cold days.

This cold weather just won’t let it gooooo…so we are keeping our soups delicious and hot. This week we are serving a creamy white bean and kale soup (Vegan, GF). Delicate, French flageolet beans are the star of the show… prepared with fresh lacinato kale and mirepoix, fresh herbs, lemon and a light kick of pepper to bring some heat. Served with a steamed baguette drizzled with olive oil. It’s hot, healthy and absolutely delicious.

Roasting coffee is at the heart of what we do. It’s how we got our start in coffee as a business and it’s what makes our cup different. Roasting enables us to curate our coffees to what we believe defines something different and enjoyable. Locally roasted coffee supports local small business while enjoying a more heightened product that has not sat in shipping or on the grocery store shelves for long periods of time. We roast and provide weekly a cherished but simple pleasure.

Happy Monday! We’re so happy to be back at it serving the best coffee and goods around. Stop in and see us this week we’re waiting to serve you some greater things!

Photos from Greater Things Roasters's post 01/20/2022
