The Welcome Kit Cards feature and direct these new families to a small number of local businesses for the goods, services & professionals that they need to find.
Since the Welcome Kit Cards are exclusive, and we only accommodate one Auto Repair Shop, are you interested in being the featured Auto Repair Shop on the local Welcome Kit Cards?
More than one-half of the Welcome Kit Card recipients are actively looking for a new mechanic after they move in.
I would like to schedule a time to drop off a sample of the "Welcome Kit Card" and explain the program in greater detail.
You can reply to this email or text me/call at 781-820-5396 with your availability.
Thank You.

THIS MONTH’S OFFICER INTRODUCTION IS SERGEANT CHRISTOPHER WERNER:
I grew up in West Bridgewater and graduated fro WB JR-SR High School in 1991. I graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1996 with a degree in History. In October 1996, I was hired as a permanent Intermittent Police Officer by West Bridgewater. I was hired as Full Time in May, 1999. In February, 2004, I obtained my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College, and in August, 2005, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Over the course of my career, I have worked all shifts, but I currently work as the patrol supervisor of the split shift, 4-12, 12-8. My current duties include being the fi****ms licensing officer, s*x offender registration officer, 911/EMD auditing supervisor, and keeper of the records supervising officer. Past duties include alarm billing officer, breath test supervisor and instructor, and records officer. I am also the de-facto history expert on the West Bridgewater Police.
Hobbies:
I very much enjoy history and like reading and collecting historical items. I also enjoy international travel, having visited about 50 countries, and gone to just about every wonder of the world.
Hardest part of my job:
I am hardened to just about every incident after 22 years, but calls involving bad things with children bother me.
Best Part of my Job:
Meeting the town residents and getting to know the people in the town that I work for.

Accident We Did Last Night Wishing Everyone Involved a Speed Recovery

Earlier today Troopers assigned to State Police-Logan were alerted by Alketa that her “fur baby”, Leo, jumped out of her vehicle while picking up a passenger at Terminal E. Trooper Paul Rego advised dispatchers and patrols of the runaway. Within several minutes, dispatchers received a transmission from Trooper Shawn Howell, assigned to State Police-South Boston, that he had located a white dog outside of an Emergency Response Post and requested Boston Animal Control. Troop F dispatch advised Troop H of the situation and coordinated with Trooper Howell to bring Leo back to Terminal E to be reunited with Alketa!

Congratulations
A Message from the Chief: A great week for WBPD.
Today, I formally recognized and presented both Sergeant Jonathan Craven and Officer Olivia Church with the highest honor given by the West Bridgewater Police Department, the Chiefs Letter of Commendation.
On May 5, 2022 the department received a 911 call reporting a serious motor vehicle accident, (car vs motorcycle). Upon their arrival both officers immediately noticed the operator of the motorcycle on the ground suffering from life-threatening injuries. They quickly assessed the injuries and quickly applied a life-saving tourniquet to control the bleeding. You knew the bleeding must be controlled quickly, or the person could bleed to death in as little as five minutes.
I give you this commendation for quickly recognizing and providing life saving measures. There is no doubt your actions on this date saved a life and as your leader, and Chief of the department, I could not be more proud of the both of you.

Message from the Chief:
Today, I formally recognized and presented these three officers, Sergeant Christopher Werner, Officer Michael Kominsky and Officer Christopher Huyghe with the highest honor given by the West Bridgewater Police Department, the Chiefs Letter of Commendation.
On August 11, 2021 the West Bridgewater Police Department received a distress call from a monitoring service for victims of violent crimes. With very little information these three officers were able to determine the location of the incident and identify the suspect, while alerting civilians and other officers on scene of the presence of a gun. The suspect was quickly disarmed and taken into custody.
Speaking with these officers again today as I did on August 11, 2021 their actions on that day saved lives and as your leader and Chief of Police I could not be more proud.

Roll call, 0700hrs, Boston: Colonel Mason addresses Troopers who’ll be stationed across the Esplanade to protect today’s July 4th Boston Pops concert and fireworks. Take care of the public and take care of each other, was the Colonel’s message to the troops.

Massachusetts State Police Trooper Paul O’Connor consoles a distraught man on the Tobin Bridge this afternoon after successfully talking him out of committing su***de.
Troopers and firefighters from Boston and Chelsea responded to the bridge at 12:04 p.m. for a man threatening to jump from the southbound upper deck. Responding patrols reported that the man had crossed over the barrier and was on the edge of the bridge, contemplating jumping. Sergeant Peter Sennott and Trooper Randy Roach joined Trooper O’Connor in establishing trust and communication with the man. The State Police Marine Unit also responded to the Mystic River under the bridge. Shortly after 12:30 p.m., Trooper O’Connor convinced the man to come back over the fence to the road side of the bridge. Trooper O’Connor then sat with the man and talked to him for a while until EMS took him to a Boston hospital for evaluation. Sgt. Sennott, a Troop H patrol supervisor who is also a member of the Crisis Negotiation Unit, rode in the ambulance with the man. We wish him recovery and a safe and healthy future. Troopers O’Connor and Roach are assigned to the State Police-Tunnels Barracks.
If you or someone you know is thinking about su***de, please know that help is available. Please call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or contact them online at https://su***depreventionlifeline.org. NSPL is available 24/7 and has a dial prompt for the Veterans Crisis Line as well as a Spanish line.

Last week Trooper Ryan Boswell, assigned to the Troop D Community Action Team, was fueling his cruiser in New Bedford when a young girl, Sydney, and her father walked over and introduced themselves. Sydney is a big fan and supporter of the MSP and shared a photo opportunity in Trooper Boswell’s cruiser. Thank you for the support Sydney!
